@@Coops5361 yup. you're right.
It isn't yet committing "a holocaust". There is still a difference. But the rhetoric they are using is on the way there. Calling it a holocaust now isn't helpful. Just stating what they are doing is bad enough.
If you want to make the argument, then point to the dehumanization that is going on and how a people that were dehumanized for such a long time and such a degree less than 100 years ago, can turn to dehumanize others that way, but the actions of the holocaust are not yet being repeated and to claim that they are will close off more people, than you will convince of it.

In your warped mind, maybe. Israel is the only democracy in the ME and makes a far better job of giving its citizens a decent life than any of its neighbours manage to do.
A pariah state is a nation considered to be an outcast in the international community. Something that is only just beginning to become a threat. Long overdue as it is.

To me the end of Israel doesn't mean the displacement of Israelis since a lot of them were born there, but one democratic state for both Palestinians and Israelis.
I agree but sadly a single state is more impossible now than ever thanks to Israel's actions. People are too traumatised to live together in a community now. Palestinians must receive reparations from Israel and all nations who allied with Israel plus be granted their own state/land.@@madhatter4173

I live in a traditional Cretan village. People grow their own food. Olives is a major crop. Yesterday, referring to the Israelis who had moved into the village a woman friend said it made her scared. I was puzzled & asked why. She couldn’t really say.
Palestine was colonised by Israelis bearing arms. Decades of stealing homes through violence continues to this day. Maybe, that is what scares her.
Insinuating that the problems in Israel are all tied to “Netanyahu’s right wing government” is just such an oversimplification. Case in point the first caller saying he’s sad about the loss of life in Gaza but it has to continue. It’s very apparent that a popular number in the Israeli population including settlers have an extreme level of anti Palestinian sentiment which is one of the way this unacceptable apartheid system has been allowed to exist. And before someone tells me about October 7th this has been going on for years. The problem is much deeper than a change in leadership unfortunately.
Mowing the grass is the expression used. The Israelis see the Palestinians as less than human and that attitude has been prevalent for decades.Israel is apartheid and should be held to account.

Who gave the British the right to give Palestine away to European emigres?
The British were glad to hand the Palestinian 'problem' over to the UN in 1947. The UN then voted to Partition Palestine to accommodate the formation of a Jewish State on land called Palestine. Israel declared itself a State in 1948 after its victory in the Arab war, and was thus able to forcibly expel 700 000 Palestinians from their homeland. The same agenda as today.
The whole world is very much against netanyahus actions

Both! With a massive false entitlement!
The devastation in Gaza serves as a stark reminder of the immense human cost of conflict. The staggering number of casualties, including fatalities and countless others left with life-altering injuries, suggests that the toll could potentially reach into the hundreds of thousands. Even if the death toll hasn't yet reached that figure yet, the widespread suffering from injuries, infections, and the harsh realities of starvation paint a terrifying picture of the toll this ongoing conflict is having on the Palestinian people. There's a noticeable global shift in sentiment towards Israel. Empathy, once prevalent, is waning as people express shock and disbelief over what's perceived as relentless retaliation. Many are calling for accountability, and personally I feel there should be repercussions for Biden, Blinken (how can he even put diplomat in his job specs)and any other international leaders that continued to support this Dresden style campaign (includes Obama and Clinton.) The actions of the Israeli government and IDF will leave a lasting mark on future generations of Jewish children, staining them with an evil legacy. THEY NEVER HAD SUPORT !!!
They have unconditional support from the one country that matters: America. That's all they need, military aid and the Security Council veto blocking all resolutions against them.
As like the two state solution was possible before oct.7 🙄 do not blame the 7amas for Preventing access to the state solution ، Because it was not possible with Israel in the first place .
Moses married an Arab, Muhammad married a Jew. These groups can easily coexist if they choose Love over Hate.
The problem is that it doesn't really matter if Netanyahu is replaced since nothing will change. Benny Gantz already said that he won't change the approach in Gaza and neither did anything under Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid. At the end of the day a two state solution has become impossible so one democratic country is really the only solution like us in South Africa, which will be a bumpy ride but the right thing to do, both practically and ethically. The correlation between SA and Israel is huge and if Israel was smart they would look at what we've done and improve on it.
So they knew all along, James they knew the truth and the longer they held on hoping the masses would fade the more they facilitated the death in Gaza. This can’t only be on that lunatic Bibi they all have blood on their hands.

Has it not been a Pariah state for over 75 years? And who is the terrorist? How do we define this? Are Hamas a resistance or terrorist group?
At this "critical juncture" why this, why now from Schumer?
Beyond that what's going to stop Schumer being characterised as the 'wrong kind of Jew'?
Hi, American here, Schumer is up for re election. You'll hear most politicians come out & speak out against IsNOTrael now, only because they want to continue to be in power.
Most estimates I’ve seen is there were many more Palestinians than just 70-80,000. The library of congress in the US estimates hundreds of thousands.
Blaming Netanyahu is easy. But he has been elected time and time again over the decades - even when Rabin was murdered and the Israelis had the choice of going with the candidate who would continue Rabin's efforts for peace, they chose Netanyahu. And they do this knowing full well that in the multiparty situation they have, a Netanyahu run government is almost always going to include coalition partners far more extreme than even he is. Netanyahu represents the democratic will of Israel - blaming him lets everyone else off too easily.

It’s been obvious for months not weeks!
How is the claim that Israel has permeated and perhaps achieved control of the US and the UK governments wrong or antisemitic? Is it antisemitic if it’s actually true?
Its antisemitic because it is utter nonsense. US/UK support Israel for their own post-colonial geo-political interests, not because they are "controlled" by Israel and certainly not by Jews in general. The USA has 300 million people. There are about 8 million Jews in the US, and no, they don't control all the banks, or Hollywood or the media.
Stating lobbyists on behalf of the Israeli state shape UK policy on Gaza is not anti-Semitic and shouldn’t be controversial. Why so tough for James to grasp? 🤔
