Glad I stumbled across your videos. I'm currently in the process of building a 97 TJ. Had the puny 2.4 that locked up and died. Was debating on doing the 4.0 or 4.7 swap. Buddy of mine says to just LS swap it. Also considered the TDI. But you have more info than most of the swap videos I've seen
Thanks for watching, I much prefer sticking with a Chrysler engine. The LS guys don't tell you that you'll need to change the instrument cluster...speedo, tach, oil pressure, volt meter, gas gauge...all of a sudden you're another 2 grand deep in the build. You're going to be in almost exactly the same build that I did, but the dashboard communication may vary from year to year, so always start with your TJ and a Chrysler factory service manual before getting a donor vehicle/engine.... good luck and if you go the Chrysler route don't be afraid to ask questions. Thanks again for watching, and please subscribe
@Jeep_psychology_101 I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions about this swap. Definitely not a first-timer, but I love picking minds of those who have done it
