Four very good videos. Not complicated. The take away from each one I found beneficial. Thank you, most appreciative. Bob.

    Good to see you back!
I work as a singer and often meet other singers who complain about hoarseness the day after a show and 'running out of steam' towards the end of a show.
I use a good warm up/down and don't push my voice too hard during my show to try and avoid this ( but I sometimes get carried away! )
Do you have any other suggestions that would help me/them to avoid this please?

Hey Ian. Yeah I know what you mean. As good as my technique is there is a limit to how much my voice can handle. The issue is inflammation so it's important to focus on ways to reduce that after a big sing (especially if you have to back up the next day). Inhaling steam is a good way to reduce some swelling as is adequate rest. I take a daily supplement that allows my body to fight inflammation naturally. I work out a lot on top of 5 hours of teaching every day so I need to make sure I'm doing everything I can to stay physically and vocally fit.

Hey sir, quick question. What are some of the most important things to do when going up or down a scale/pitch? I realize now that having proper cord closure is essential, and I've also learned the importance of proper breath support, posture, soft palate placement and etc. I guess I'm wondering what the next step would be in terms of singing scales freely and effectively/efficiently utilizing all of these. I've found major improvement with having better cord closure, what can I do to start singing from scale to scale, up or down better as well, to where it sounds healthy, free and more effective?

Will this make me stop running out of breath?

It’ll help. But this isn’t a be all end all for breath support. Make sure you keep your chest up while singing.
