They always leave the story kind of open to interpretation. Here you could see similarities to the movie EQUILIBRIUM or earlier in timeline the movie FAHRENHEIT 451. But it's up to you to do your own interpretation. What i always find very interesting is the reaction from you guys and other's who were watching this as they gun the innocent people in the video down. And you can look it up in every reaction to this song everybody got a short shock but immediatly goes on shaking to the amazing music. What does that mean? I know I'm time travelling back 2 years now to respond to your question "What does that mean? Music and enjoy something is more worth than someone's life????" But here it is, how I interpret this piece of art (mainly because of the Picasso quote at the beginning) Imho, this movie is a super meta representation of what YOU as the viewer is doing at the moment. The white dressed people put on an old and broken video to watch, and YOUR youtube video starts flickering, too. They listen to a song which is about people dying, world ending, nothing they can do other than accept their faith, dance, relax and "enjoy the show". And what YOU are doing in the meantime? You're watching people dying, having your eyes wide open of shock, as you cannot do anything against it, and then you're just enjoying the show on YOUR screen. Such a masterpiece.
One of the greatest bands of our time or really any genre. So creative! Chris Harm is DA man and all his talented band members too! One of the most underrated unknown Premier bands that I am aware of. Great job Travis and Suzi! love you guys!
Great reaction, as always! I really like this band and hope you'll do some more of them in the future. Shout out to La Wanda for wishing this song; it's still one of my absolute favorites, though some from the new album is definitely closing in on it.
