I saw this video years ago when i think it was first published and it has been one of my favourites. So much has changed since, but my love of horses and determination to get those few inches have stayed a constant.
Wow. All i can say is wow. I tear up everytime I watch it, especially when it gets to the part about how you have to " look at the guy next to you," knowing that it is your horse that you have bonded with. Horses amaze me and continue to amaze me everyday. It truly describes the wonderful world of horses, and makes me believe that i can make it to the top. Thank you!
This has got to be one of the best videos ever. I mean that, it moved me to tears. It just captures so perfectly the constant struggle that is riding (of any discipline). I'm currently working with a challenging, green, horse who's awesome but sometimes it feels like we're at a standstill and we're going nowhere. And then there's that breakthrough that you've been fighting and working for and it's the most amazing feeling and it makes everything all worthwhile. Amazing job, can't stop watching!
Shivers up my spine, into my cerebellum, back down to my toes, out to my fingernails, and back into my chest where the electricity and spice of those shivers is inspiring me to want to get out into the rain and work with my horses to strive towards where I want to be. Absolutely wonderful work!!
i had to give up riding a few yrs ago...and every one of your videos makes me cry...makes my soul ache..cause thats where i miss it, every hour of every day...in my soul...cause thats where it always filled me up...your videos are like memories i have through many different looking glasses..and just like i am no longer the star in the show because i had to leave it behind...for now...i am not the star of this one either...but your videos are amazing enough...every time..that my soul is there
this was spectacular. i recently got back into riding, after a serious fall and two years of no interaction in the equestrian world, and seeing this reminded me why i was so determined a long time ago. it makes me want to go back to my horse and fight for everything we had before i lost my confidence. so thanks for the inspiration boost, i really needed it (:
Love it. my volleyball team had a 5 game loosing streak, all home games. my friend and i showed our team this video (well more like played the audio, some watched the video) and guess what?! we won. 2-0. our first win in over a month. Amazing video, and incredible, incredible speech by Al Pacino. Thank you so much for making this! :D
@bridled - Thankyou so much, Primmore's Pride is one of my all time favourite event horses along with Rocky, shame about his short lived career at the top end, he was wonderful.
Absolutely amazing - obviously the speech was not about riding, but it fits SO perfectly. And the video matched the words perfectly. Gave me shivers. Well done!!
this is one of the few quote videos I love. You always do an unbelieveable job, and everytime I watch a video it sends shivers down my spine. My thanks to you!
i love how you just capture the emotion and teamwork. I'm quite speechless, just.. keep on doing those videos, they are probably the best ones I will see.
This truly is a masterpiece! It gives me goosebumps and makes me shiver every time a watch it, and it is with out a doubt one of the most emotionally and well made videos on youtube! I wish you knew how many times this video has been showed at lectures and how many times it has been posted and sent out on facebook - what I know of, more than I can count. Every time I see it, it inspires me and I know it inspires thousands of others. - Thank you!
This is fabulous :) I was watching the 2004 Olympics XC coverage on youtube the other day, coincidence! It made me fall in love with Primmore's Pride all over again haha. This is really great and really touching, I don't normally watch/enjoy audio quote videos like this but this really moved me, it's brilliant well done.
this.. my friend, is a master piece. nothing can describe how much this will make you feel emotional. I'm just so glad that I've been on youtube to watch every video you have made. Thankyou xx
This video is truly amazing, and I share it every single time I can in all corners of the world where I've lived. Sometimes it feels hopeless to continue giving up everything besides the sport in order to keep going on this level, but your videos - especially this one - reminds me of why I'm doing this. It is not for the national team and the championships; it is for all the other things it takes. Thank you.
I LOVE this video. The editing and the audio are amazing and original!! And It is completely true. An inch may not seem like much but it could be the difference between winning or loosing, clearing a jump or fall to the dirt, or even life or death. Thank you for this amazing and inspiring video. :) I added it to my Favorite Equestrian Videos playlist :) and subbed!!
this made my cry. this madem e have chills. this helped heal me. I am a barrel racer, and ive been terrified of riding for the past month or so after a bad fall. i havent been fair to my partner horse. he is willing to work for me and its not fair to him for me to blame my fear on him. all i can say is thank you. thank you
This is the coolest freaking eventing video I've ever seen. This is what I show people that don't know what Eventing is. Brought me to tears, thank you so much for making this, it's forever a favorite.
@HasToRhyme - Its a very nice cover of a soundtrack i totally adore, its called "Peace" - by Paul Kelly, listen to the original, its mind numbingly beautiful :-) And thankyou for the nice comments!
I don't know what I can say about this video that hasn't already been said. I just wanted to tell you that all of you videos have driven and are still driving be to push myself and be the best that I can be. I think everyone who watches these videos will agree that they are a huge inspiration. So thank you.
this has just inspired me so much to really try hard this year with school exams to get to where i want and to try get my pony fit and jumping cause he seems to hate it so im going to get him to enjoy it 😄 thank you so much
@mockingjayphoenix - Thankyou so much! The speech is from a film called Any Given Sunday and this is the part where the coach (Al Pacino) is speaking to his American Football team before the finals.... spine chilling stuff :D
it makes me want to cry... this is truely an amazing video. Possibly the best ever. The words fit perfectl. It makes me want to go for the best i can be. This a remarkable speech. Ill never forget it,3
So this is pretty much my go-to fix for any time I am feeling sorry for myself for any reason whatsoever. It's great. It may or may not make me cry occasionally.
This message is incredible ... it applies to LIFE, Business and every sport !! I have people dear to me Eventing, a Hockey player Son and people dear to me running a business in today's Global economy. I see what they all put into what they strive for ..... This message applies to all !!
wooooooow, this gave me goosebumps, it's just... it feeels like i'm right there with them. the words are just perfect. another amazing video by the best of all ! ;)
@AdrenalineArt Glad you liked my song cover enough to use it in this video. I knew it sounded familiar. To all who enjoyed the music in the background, you can find the original on my channel.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their hard work. For if one of them should fall, the other one can raise his partner up. But how will it be with just the one who falls when there is not another to raise him up? - Ecclesiastes 4:9,10
I love watching all the emotion on the riders' faces in this- and you captured it brilliantly! But why was the rider crying at :32? Did something happen to her horse? This is amazing nonetheless, truly inspiring. I may not do X-country, or dressage, or even show jumping like this- but I do get down sometimes when I get nervous about jumping something as little as 3 ft. (little as in compared to these jumps! Haha). Fantastic. (:
@bigoldfatjuicebox - The black horse looking at the camera? FYI that is MY footage. You cannot take anything from here, it has been sourced, altared and edited by me. Find the originals if you can by all means
@peep1954 - Hi, I am so so sorry for not crediting you, it was only until after I uploaded that I realised this wasn't the original (I assumed it was as it is just so astounding!) and I couldn't track your channel down. I've put a link to you in the description, thankyou so much, apologies I didn't mean to cause any offence, its a beautiful cover (I prefer to original....but shh)
