Hi Paul, am a recent subscriber after your LDY-STN report came up in my recommended list. Just wanted to say how much I like your trip reports, have been back and watched most of them, think this is my favourite so far!
Jack Jack Productions that's because they need to prepare you for how cold Corfu is. Corfu is freezing. It's so cold that it snows every day, and the wind is howling, and blowing up a snowstorm, with the lakes covered in frost, and literally icicles hanging from the gutters outside the windows all year long. With average daily temperatures of - 60 degrees Celsius throughout the summer, and -80 degrees Celsius throughout the winter, it almost un-inhabitable. Only Eskimos are able to live on the island. They usually hunt caribou and polar bears. The only other people that go there, are tourists, holidaymakers, and those who want to go sunbathing in the hot sunshine & enjoy the lovely sandy beaches. There's some nice hotels there.
Well well, i had no idea this was available! Here is me doing that trip with Thomas Cook and being hardly able to walk for an hour or so. Thanks Paul love this and all your other vids, didn't think i was a train man until i found your channel, keep it mate, kind regards Tim.
Great video as always Paul! I'm currently saving up Flying Club miles with Virgin Atlantic, as they are the best airline that I have flown with so far. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the US in the next couple of years.
Hi Paul, I watch the lanzarote airport all the time with a live real time feed. You were lucky to come in over the Island .North to south, usually the wind blows in the other direction and most planes come in over the water. I hope you had a lot of fun ,that is a very popular destination for people all over Europe. Cheers, Rik Spectoir
Amazing vid Paul . I always travel to Lanzarote , it’s like my second home 😂😂 . I fly with Ryanair from East Midlands airport . But never landed over the mountains I always seem to land over the sea
Another excellent report Paul. Looks like you filmed a bit more with the Gopro this time. Started looked better than the weird Mango with horseradish one I have been given lately. Some pretty fantastic views on approach there.
+When I Travel The World Cheers. I was trying out my backpack mount on this trip a bit more. BA have some weird starters going around for sure. I don't really get it!
+Jason Allsop Yes, I think the approach was flown manually (except autothrottle), as the approach requires a few gentle S turns around mountains. Lovely area.
I did BA business class from Gatwick to Arrecife about 12 years ago for £600 and I was the only person sat in the business class area there and back. There remainder of the plane was full. It was the biggest waste of money I ever made for a three and a half hour flight. I'm going on Ryanair in November from my local airport with Priority boarding and reserved seats for £94 all in!
Another great report Paul, really enjoyed it. Looks like you had a nice and relaxing flight. The meal looks delicious, although I agree the presentation of the main meal is pretty poor. I wouldn't really want to call that starter a salad either.. lol Till the next one Brendan
+Adam Baker Thanks Adam. There is a lounge at ACE but BA passengers cannot access it either by class of travel or frequent flyer status. I got in using my Priority Pass.
You can also.pay your way into th Lounge,it's nothing too fancy but comes with some snacks and drinks I just dislike how you cannot see the runway from it and the smokers are next to the outside area
Hi paul love the reports i life in nz but am heading to uk in next 12 month for visit dont like small euro businessclass seatsis this standard or are thereany airline that still have armchairs in business class
I used to do this trip on Dan Air !! Lol anyone remember it ! I liked their planes and always clean and friendly in coach. 4 trips all together. 👍🏽😍 couldn’t afford anything ales. Love lanzerote and Tenerife 👍🏽😍
Change of wind direction, as i think you have come in opposite to usual landing? BTW love the channel, excellent quality, editing, music and commentary :)
Upon landing, the captain seemed to insist on keeping the nose wheel on the centerline, allowing us to hear the 'thump-thump-thump' as he rolled over the runway lights--were you traveling with somebody? I heard conversation on the jetway as you boarded. Is it possible to fly from the US to LGW? It seems LHR is the preferred UK gateway--what kind of car did you rent?
Jason Moors the captain doesn't insist on keeping on the centerline, it's pilot training policy. It means that while the thumping is going on, the pilots are aware of the aircraft's position on the runway, which means the plane is not drifting. Watch any video, of any plane taking off or landing, and you'll see the pilot keeping it on the centerline every single time.
I presume business are the first to disembark the aircraft, also can somebody actually confirm all the perks you get with business Europe, from arriving at the airport to leaving the airport at your final stop.
Very good video. Same can’t be said for BA. flew with them from Gatwick to Tenerife November 2017 and it was rubbish. No need for club world imho on these flights. All the cabin crew spent their time attending to the CW passengers and couldn’t be arsed with us. Nitemare trying to use the toilet onboard aswell. First time I had flown with them and was expecting far better. EasyJet kick the arse off BA for short haul flying. Leg room and overhead storage on a flight to Palma in May this year was superb. You’re right about Lanzarote though, it’s a beautiful place. I’m guessing your travelling/vlogging is a hobby? Or does your job entail you chasing the sun? 😉
villan81 there is NO Club World on these flights. It's Club Europe. Club Europe is a different product entirely. And of course the cabin crew are going to concentrate on Club Europe passengers, they've paid more and they deserve more. Economy passengers don't deserve a dime. They can be left to just rot and die in the back because they're cheap and nasty people. Everyone who flies economy is a cheap and nasty primitive gypsy. I'M KIDDING!!!! I guess BA economy on your flight wasn't that good. Usually BA Europe are not too bad. I've flown on hundreds of BA Europe flights, and only had a few bad experiences. I guess club Europe passengers are treated a little better, but that shouldn't be the case necessarily to the detriment of economy passengers. There should be an even spread of cabin crew around the entire plane so that everyone gets served promptly. Yours must have been an ageing plane, or plane that wasn't maintained very well. I hope you wrote to British Airways. Because unless people do, nothing will change. People who complain without writing to the company can't expect things to change if the company don't know about them. Anyway, happy travels, and happy flying, and please remember, I was only joking in my first paragraph!
Greetings from NZ, Paul. Great video and I like your style - understated. Btw that beef casserole looked positively worthy of its 2/10. Nasty, almost like dog roll with mash? My labrador would be right into that! Q: That was BA's regional business class offering right?... no PTVs and just a regular economy seat?
+Hugh Martell Thanks Hugh. It takes about an hour, though I usually decide the music selection in advance (which makes it a bit easier to decide what to film etc).
Jack Gregory possibly to do with wake turbulence. BA 320 is a smaller plane than some, so the 80s might have preferred that it takes off first to avoid wake turbulence.
Hello Paul, thanks for video. Could I ask how tall you are? Reason I ask is I'm 6'2" and worried about leg room. It's been a long time since I last flew and understand leg room is less than it used to be. Club Europe pitch is same as economy on this plane/route I understand?- about 30 inches? My hip to knee seated is 26" so would I be right thinking that leaves 4" for knee room and seat depth in front? I think I probably would have more room on a No.23 bus. Anyway hoping you can fill in some blanks and me and the Mrs (also 6") want to start holidaying but the whole seat pitch/leg room thing has us stumped. All the best. MR.
Mean Rhythm I'm 5'8" so not particularly tall. In all honesty if you are over six feet tall there are no mainstream airlines in Europe who provide adequate legroom. The seat pitch is 30" on these aircraft decreasing to 29" in some rear seats.
Thanks for your reply Paul. Looks like Premium (where available) or Business for us and long haul only. Gonna effectively double the cost of a two week holiday but there you go eh. I'll tune into your other vids as I see you get about and in all all classes. Subscribed. In my late 40's and after a particularly gruelling open jaw back from Australia via Singapore in the late 90's I promised myself I would never do that sort of thing again in economy class. Still got the urge to travel though. Perhaps one trip every two years and just save up. Anyway, thanks for letting me know and hope you have many more wonderful experiences. Travel about the best thing money can buy IMHO. All the very best. MR
"Got a good team looking after you today". No no, come on, tell us what you REALLY think of your cabin crew! You say that every flight. Surely some cabin crew arent quite so good lol.
I have booked this flight for me and my girlfriend for when I turn 15 and I have not told her yet, in fact we are not yet together but we know that we are, we just have not said it yet. Wish me luck.
Great video as always Paul! I'm currently saving up Flying Club miles with Virgin Atlantic, as they are the best airline that I have flown with so far. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the US in the next couple of years.

In BA CE on the Heathrow to Corfu route (roughly 3 hours) there is a pillow and a blanket
Jack Jack Productions that's because they need to prepare you for how cold Corfu is. Corfu is freezing. Simon Williams Yeah so true

Good job you weren't flying this weekend! Great vid as always Paul
Paul love your video's but today I have to say the SHIRT was epic. Hope you had a nice time!!! Best wishes from Chicago,
+dbn52 Ha ha thanks, you flatter me!
Amazing vid Paul . I always travel to Lanzarote , it’s like my second home 😂😂 . I fly with Ryanair from East Midlands airport . But never landed over the mountains I always seem to land over the sea

+Joshua Fleming Thanks Joshua!
I love to travel and when I watch this report I feel comfortable. 😊
Great video mate, love watching your videos!
Pure quality vid bud just subscribed

Hello There, a really nice tour/perspective of the ground and airborne experience of LGW South Terminal. Cheers Peter Mc :)
Enjoyed that..... very therapeutic.......
Great Video again Paul
+Nick Jones Cheers Nick.
Smashing video mate, I like the commentary! Definately subscribed to your great channel :)
+Canadian Plane Spotter Thank you! 👍🏻
Interesting that you came in over the island onto RWY 21. Most flights come in over the sea onto RWY03. Great views of the island coming in!!
+Jason Allsop Yes, I think the approach was flown manually (except autothrottle), as the approach requires a few gentle S turns around mountains. Lovely area.
I love the canaries. Beautiful and unique partnof the world.
I did BA business class from Gatwick to Arrecife about 12 years ago for £600 and I was the only person sat in the business class area there and back. There remainder of the plane was full. The Fast Show. Nice.
+Paul Campy That's the one!

Kester Lowers Aw thanks! Ha ha.
Another great report Paul, really enjoyed it. Looks like you had a nice and relaxing flight. The meal looks delicious, although I agree the presentation of the main meal is pretty poor. I wouldn't really want to call that starter a salad either.. lol
Till the next one

Smashing video!
Another good video
Flying same route soon so great video. Was there a lounge at Arrecife for the return flight?
+Adam Baker Thanks Adam. There is a lounge at ACE but BA passengers cannot access it either by class of travel or frequent flyer status. I got in using my Priority Pass.
You can also.pay your way into th Lounge,it's nothing too fancy but comes with some snacks and drinks I just dislike how you cannot see the runway from it and the smokers are next to the outside area

I was on Tenerife and La Gomera in late 2016. Canaries are great, still relatively undiscovered by tourists from "across the pond."
that windowless business class seat would be torture you'd be better off fedexing yourself there
Change of wind direction, as i think you have come in opposite to usual landing? BTW love the channel, excellent quality, editing, music and commentary :)

Yes indeed you can fly from the USA to LGW on BA or Virgin or Norwegian and Thomas Cook

I see you came in the other way between the mountains instead of the usual over sea landing?
Did anyone else see Gatwick's first terminal at 7:09?
The Beehive?
Yes
Fast show! Great!
Are there any trees there?
very nice video
I presume business are the first to disembark the aircraft, also can somebody actually confirm all the perks you get with business Europe, from arriving at the airport to leaving the airport at your final stop.
I would much prefer there to be a 2+2 config (with wider seats) rather the. One seat blocked off
Is the devider removable for a family sitting together
Simon Davis not usually no. It's fixed in place.

Loving the pineapple t shirt lol
Hello there! What is it the problem os the missing window in the row one in club? Is that in all the a320s?
Paul please fly to or from Santander(Spain) Thnks
aris tv haven't they just awarded a contract to upgrade Santander Airport?
Another well-done report, Paul. Just wondering how long it takes you to edit one of your 2o minute videos?
+Hugh Martell Thanks Hugh. It takes about an hour, though I usually decide the music selection in advance (which makes it a bit easier to decide what to film etc).
wingin it! current youtube addiction, quality
Why would the a320 get priority over the aircraft that had been up the runway for longer
+jack gregory Could be any number of reasons but it's always an ATC call.
Jack Gregory possibly to do with wake turbulence. BA 320 is a smaller plane than some, so the 80s might have preferred that it takes off first to avoid wake turbulence.
I bet the casserole tasted great .. but can't believe it would be presented like that in club ... looks like it was just dumped on the plate lazily !!

Niiiiiiice!
13:00 what a view
Amaybe there was turbulence when they were slopping out the mains 😂
hope you were not affected by the BA system fiasco! 💪💪
+castleinearth Thankfully not! 👍🏻

If the moon had a Canary island.
Please learn the proper way to hold flatware.
Thanks - I am still relearning how to do so after a stroke in my early 20s.
Ouch.
Presentation 2/10 - Looks like a dog vomited after eating gravy.
Golden Grenade it tastes wonderful though. You have to ignore the presentation.
Say rental car not hire car
