It usually takes a great actor to make a villain come to life on film. Just about all of these actors were also excellent in non villain roles. It illustrates their talent.
As always I enjoyed your video of the westerns movies. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This is one of my favorite channels. 😊😊😊😊
Wow, thank you!
Leo Gordon the man , Robert J Wilke
DeForest Kelly (better know as Leonard "Bones" McCoy in Star Trek).
Take a look at my video on Deforest westerns in my channel
Alfonso Bedoya was a peerless and terrifying villain but his best role, imo, was his last. Ramon was the only thoroughly admirable character, with nothing to lose in treating McKay dismissively and nothing to gain in treating him compassionately, in “The Big Country,” and Bedoya portrayed him perfectly.
I dont know if this actor is already on your lists , if not I put Forward Rodolfo Acosta ...
Jack Lambert ! Top notch bad guy !
The most chilling western villian of the 20th century? Gian Maria Volonté as "Indio" (For a Few Dollars More) .... In the 21st century (for now?)....Javier Bardem as "Anton Chigurh" (No Country for old Men.)
No Country for Old Men is not a western.
Your statement that Richard Widmark's roles were not a reflection takes me back. Years ago, TCM featured Sidney Poitier as its "Star of the Month ". During that month they played a tribute by Mr. Widmark to "Sid" in which Widmark spoke of inviting Mr. Poitier home for dinner after he arrived in Hollywood. Just afterwards, the screen featured a scene from the movie, with Mr. Widmark verbally assaulting Poitier with racist abuse.
John Ireland was in the cast of Western TV show Rawhide .
Kinsky Kinsky Kinsky ... Uno come lui non era previsto nel genere umano 😱😱😱😱😱😱
O, purtroppo, fin troppo scontato....
Jack Palance, Jack Elam, DeForest Kelly, Eli Wallach, Lee Van Cleef, Henry Fonda (usually a Hero), Richard Widmark (usually a Hero), Lee Marvin (could go both ways), Ernie Kovacs, Gene Hackman, Michael Ansara, Richard Boone (could go both ways), Alan Rickman!
You need to add Bruce Dern. I can't think of many characters he played where he wasn't a villain.
Ah yes, he almost always played a Psycho!
“Liberty valance” Played by lee Marvin and Jack Palance in “Shane”
See my videos on both in my channel
A great Western requires a great villain....
Ying to the Yang
Jack Palance Lee Van Cleft
How could you not include Jack Palance?
Look at my other bad guy videos, he appears in his role in Shane amongst others
El Indio is the best of them all
Eli Wallach, Lee Marvin, Lee Van Cleef?

Little things like that subtract from your credibility. Need a proofer? I can proof, and will work for average wages. Get in touch, we'll talk.
John "Houston", yeah, that was amusing...
It could be worse, he could have pronounced it how ston like in New York City, Houston st.
