On August 4th 1995. I met Karl Perazzo in Philadelphia at The Mann Music Center. Just by chance he was walking around near the concession stand and I walked up to him and introduced myself. At that point I believe he had only been in Santana for about 3 or 4 years, but I knew who he was. We talked for about 15 minutes and in those 15 minutes, an amazing, I'm telling you a dearly amazing brotherhood /friendship was born. The following night, August 5th, Santana was going to play at Allentown Fairgrounds and I bought tickets and went to that show with my Uncle Rick, Uncle Luis, and cousin Joey, and Karl introduced us to my childhood heroe ( and still) Carlos Santana. That was one of my biggest dreams come true!! To this day, 26 years later, we are Family! I have not missed a Santana show in Philly,Jersey since meeting Karl. I've seen them in NY, and even drove to Florida(20+ hours) caught the show at Hard Rock Live , then drove back to Philly. Crazy I know, but that just goes to show you how much of an impact Karl has had on my life. He is not just an amazing musician, Karl is an immense inspiration to so many people and him being so humble and grounded, he may not even know just to what extent he's touched, healed, and mended hearts all over this world. This man has given me tears of joy and If anyone who has not met him, if you have a chance to meet Karl Perazzo, please do. He is as class act as you will ever meet . Karl, you know Carmen and I love you so very much. I hope that this pandemic clears up and I see you in August. I love you my Big Brother,LM

I saw Santana in 92-93 in San Antonio, Texas... 6 years old that forever changed my life! Thanks to an awesome musician teacher in elementary who introduced mento Stevie Wonder that same year AND MY SISTER who took me to Sunken Garden Theater to see Santana! Between Santana and the amazing Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder that was introduced to me in music class... i knew i would play for the rest of me life.
