I didn't detach the hoover bit from the dust bit and cleaned the dust area with a bit of water. It's not not working im guessing water damage is there anything I can do to save it (I've only had it for a week)
Firstly, before using water on or inside the Shark, you needed to remove the dust from the Shark parts, the main motor area should never have water on it, Unfortunately, water damage can be challenging to reverse. Try turning off the vacuum, removing the parts, and letting them air-dry completely. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer or the store where you purchased it for advice or a possible warranty claim. Avoid using the vacuum until it's thoroughly dry to prevent further damage. Hopefully this will help you 😀 laters Steve

on a previous video i watched , there was a guy washing the dust container in the sink with soapy water .. Can you actually do that??
I have washed mine out, but it seems to get dirty again faster, so basely just doing it dry is better. Be warned when washing with hot water. It can affect the plastic, as the parts are not designed to be washed 😀 if you see mine. Currently, I put it onto the cupboard out of site 🤣🤣
To be fair the anti wrap brush did not show any hair it looked more like fabric wrapped around. You should see mine which doesn't have that anti wrap. I can only get through the amount of hair with a pair os scissors
Please remember my Shark is 3 years old. Believe me, I know what happens when the hairs get stuck round the roller 😅 and blocked pipe
