Aside from the Law of Superposition being able to tell us the age down to the year based on what soil layer it’s found in, we can use spectrometry to analyze the molecular makeup of the soil clinging to the artifact to establish an incredibly accurate age. And even if you bury it in a deeper layer archeologists will know. We can tell when soil was disturbed 10,000 years ago because a prehistoric squirrel buried some nuts. We are definitely able to tell when someone buries something because there is literally *no way* to put the soil back in a way that doesn’t make it extremely obvious that it’s been disturbed.

Bro please test out the obsidian on actual targets I`d love to see what the finished products could do!

@@Anonymous-hx3pu hmm no, obsidian is know as one of the most fragil materials. its literally known as a 1 use weapon if used as such for that very reason. yes flesh can and always does dull the blade/edge after one use and thats IF it doesnt shatter on impact like it normally does. its a useless material for a weapon as the moment it cuts literally anything, it can dull. thats how they are able to even make these shapes with obsidian, because its so fragile. hitting skin at full force vs a rock, huge difference. the rick will chip it easily, the skin does the same but on a larger scale as the whole edge is effected. try it out urself. make an obsidian blade of any kind, test it out and see what u learn. its literally a useless material as a weapon for any reason. even if it is used which i can be, the food is inedible afterwards because of all the obsidian glass shards in the meat. as a defence tool u have literally 1 shot to take down anything threatening u. if its more than 1, then ur screwed literally. so no, u dont have to hit a rock/bone or anything hard to break obsidian, its know for how fragile it actually is after all. thats its most defining feature actually, its extremely fragile. its more fragile than glass and normal glass is quite fragile as is.
Stone weapons are bad, we switched to metal for a reason
@@dastamararoseyork what about used as arrowheads? would that be better because you only hit one time with each arrow. not good for hunting because like you said it would be full of obsidian shards, but as weapons of war would obsidian arrows have any use?
