Omg thank you! This was the wall I hit on playing the piano. I know all the chords/notes but never really understood how soloing works! Halfway through the video and you solved my problem. 🙏
Nice to see you back. Your lessons are some of the best. I've had your page not only bookmarked but open for years waiting for you to move away from CDs. It was the only thing keeping me from buying. The new site and online products are great. I can finally purchase. It would be great if you could also continue tips on UA-cam regularly.
Very good lesson ! I wonder how many young people take advantage of people on UA-cam like yourself, that are willing to help people learn. In 1970, when I was 14 yrs old, I couldn't find a soul anywhere to teach me to play piano by ear ! The people that knew how, didn't want to help you. Luckily, I finally found one man and I was the only student he ever had. His son(Tony Brown was playing piano for The Oak Ridge Boys then Elvis and is now a record producer. I think youtube and folks like yourself are a real blessing ! Thanks !
What a great point you have! Thank you for stopping in and commenting - I am glad to share some of my knowledge and contribute in a way that others didn't 50 years or so ago!
hey, I love your tutorials I was just wondering of you could make a tutorial on what to play in the right hand because I have got the ear to know which chords to play for a song but would love to learn to play those small little right-hand stuff that you play that just it so much better. thanks in advance.
Wow very inspiring with a little help I could change my bad habits of playing the piano like the guitar cause I'd like to compose songs and also play live but I know there's something missing.

Kudos for the Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for learning piano fast minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend Sam finally got amazing success with it.
amazing job man .. but i have one question... why did u choose the G chord and the A chord on the base .. how do u make that choice ............. thanks million times
I never thought that u were going to play Human nature😁 At the beginning I was wondering why you were playing G and A chords continuously. I really love that song. Anyway awesome video👌
Thanks a lot!! A question for you, imagine we are on the C scale, so I start with C chord and do sus2, then I go to Em chord and do sus2 also; well that chord will include F# which is not part of the C scale, so would sound weird. So in this case this would be a chord that I couldn't really transform to a SUS2 if I am on the C scale?? or do it anyway? thanks
WHY, WHY, DID I MISS OUT FOR SO LONG. ALL PENTATONIC STUFF. THE MARKINGS ARE STILL ON MY KEYBOARD. NOW WITH YOUR VID IT ALL MAKE SENSE. FRUSTRATION SOMEWHAT LIFTED. THANK YOU. THIS IS A K, I. S. S. VID. KISS STANDS FOR KEEP IT SHORT STUPID. GREETINGS.
Not necessarily. In this video, if we take the D scale, the fourth chord is G and the tension chord is actually F#m (inversion). If we take the G scale, the fourth chord is C and the tension is on Bm (inversion). Usually a tension chord can be a diminished chord. For eg, in G scale, try playing the following run.. G D Eb dim Em
I've had numerous teachers, and none of them have taught like this. Thank you so much I will definitely be subscribing
Fully agree.

When I go for the tension, is it always going to be the fourth chord of every scale?
Not necessarily. In this video, if we take the D scale, the fourth chord is G and the tension chord is actually F#m (inversion). Awe some and good solo sounds....
Your work is beautiful I would like to learn how to play like you so that I can be accepted In bands at my church. I don't know how to pay online
This video helped me a lot but what do I have to play with my left hand?
are you playing in arpeggio or is just fuller chords that you are using??
I understand how we ought to know the chord numbers, i.e., 1,2,3, etc, but should be also know the names of chords that you are using, i.e. G sus2?
Hi, what program/ software do you use for the piano?
What app do you use for the visual display of your real-time keyboarding?
