Hey that's my great grandpa's pharmacy at 2:35 His name was Abdulilah Al-Qenai. He started his training at the British Clinic in 1909 and a few years later became the first pharmacist/doctor to practice modern medicine and surgery in Kuwait. He worked in that office in Mubarakiya up until the late 1930's. By then the government had officially established the Department of Health and he had to close down his practice for health reasons. I never met him but my grandma used to talk about him a lot. As a little kid she worked with him as a sort of pseudo-assistant preparing patients and whatnot.
That is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this fascinating piece of family history - it's wonderful to hear from people who have a connection and to gain insight into the way of life back then 🙏🤗
If you want to buy cheap items definitely souk mubarakiya is a place to go. You can find anything there from perfume, clothing, fresh vegetables and fresh seafoods. So many traditional arabic restaurants to choose from.

I worked in Kuwait as a teacher at the ministry of education for 24 years . At my voluntary resignation I got shocked when the ministry took almost half of my pension 4256 KD ( 14000 $) under the name of indebtness which I knew nothing about . And when I made a written complaint they refused it verbally on the telephone .
This is not the place where you try to tarnish the reputation of a country, there are work agreements for those who come from abroad. If you are honest, you'd go to court, not UA-cam comments. But some people ungrateful.

I'm not sure, so I would recommend that you check the bus company website, or use Google Maps, which is what we did.
