- You may know nothing about this game (Galimulator), but you still can easily get the point of this endless drama: hundreds of empires that trying to survive in a ruthless space, fighting with giant monsters and each other, expanding and degenerating, rising and falling; all are different, but with one thing in common - all their greatness will turn into stardust one day.
Galimulator on Steam: store.steampow...
Music: Gregory Semenov - Fly Theme 12, Aram Jean Shahbazians and Nils Iver Holtar - Eternals, Jack Wall - Grunt Awakens
The Great Empires: (approximation)
1:Mosiosinde: Millenniums 163>470 (307 Millennium) (Star count:4550)
Comment:this one took a bit since it's height was much later than expected, but holy shit it fell fast
2:Baran: Millenniums 507>652 (145 Millennium) (star count: 2114)
comment:well that didn't take long, though it did have a nice last hurrah
3:Youji: Millenniums 879>1323 (444 millennium) (Star count: 4143)
Comment:Damn youji lasted a while...then again it was also a while in between Baran and Youji
4:Genst: Millenniums 1606>2053 (446 millennium) (Star count 5000) Starts Transcending in millennium 2041
Comment:Teh only one to transcend, which is a nice response to starting to crumble a bit. also the biggest empire. and apparently longest lasting by 2 millennium
note this marks which empires had around 2k stars or more at it's height, from when it hits first place to when it's off the leaderboard, and about how many stars at it's height (last digit is set to 0 if i can't see the last digit), and a comment
oh, i was pinned apparently. yey my like at least half an hour of mostly pausing and unpausing the video for star counts didn't go to vain ^A^
Your comment made me laugh "but holy shit it fell fast." It lasted over three hundred thousand years!
I understand what you mean, though, in-game terms it did fall apart quite quickly. :P
yeah when you've thrived for over 300 millennium 3 millennium is nothing :P
This makes me want to add a feature to create summaries like this in the game :)
wait
holy shit the creator of Galimulator replied to my comment
i'm still sad that i have shit for money so i can't get Galimulator :(
When you saw the thumbnail and thought it was a Stellaris timelapse.
me too ;-;
I'm not familiar with this game, but when those blood purges started happening and things started popping off that stuff was pretty cool! Big blobs.
I've been loving the simulations, thanks for making the videos!
“The Confederation of Slightly Perturbed Snails”
..I'm not the only one who always thought this was a modded Stellaris.. right?
I was thinking about how much of a unit their PC had to be to run a game of Stellaris this big
I did think this was Stellaris yes
i believe galimulator was based somewhat on stellaris but stellaris is a completely different beast. imagine grand strategy sorta like hoi4 except you start out with bascally nothing except a single star system and it takes forever for you to expand, but in galimulator it just kinda happens on its own as far as i can tell
Well no. But I get where the impression came from
Saw the thumb and was like 'why is the Stellaris spiral galaxy so big.'
Lmfao same here
0:16 "The Confederation of Slightly Perturbed Snails" I'm getting this game straight away
LarvicarioZ it’s on Mobile too.
coreion givens what's it called?
David smith
Galimulator I think.
David smith Galimulator
LarvicarioZ Defensive Traits for the Snail Space Confederacy
When you are near the galaxy domination "fckin rebels"
nicholas giustino Imperium of Man in a nutshell my friend.
I know they're dragons, but the galaxy looked like it had worms. Or maggots. Still a really cool simulation though. I could never run so many stars.
6:20 that moment when you've almost captured a whole galaxy, but someone ordered a goddamn blood purge.
We seem to have a hit a bit of a stable balance
*BLOOD PURGE*
I see your empire now covers most of the entire galaxy, nearly all your foes have been destroyed... AND IT'S GONE!
Lol nice south park reference :P
Ah yes, the confederation of slightly perturbed snails.
0:20
lmao
Hey I was wondering where the extra traffic suddenly was from :) Cool video of my little game!
Border gore is amazing in this one, but you can reduce the number of empires allowed to clean it up a lot.
Plus you should probably enable Hunter interventions to take care of that little Dragon problem you have ... (or unleash the Smatters!)
Thx for the advice, awesome game btw
Awesome channel, fits the game perfectly :)
$4.99 on Steam or itch.io. Hey AIBattle, maybe you can put a Steam link in the description?
Snoddas Mannen, sure.
Excellent music choices for this! No annoying cliche dubstep or earrape orchestrals
This is great, watching the empires rise and fall, fight, live, die, make peace, make war, transcend and gain the ultimate victory, or fall apart. So awesome.
Man don’t you hate it when your galaxy gets worms?
Yea, it sucks, had to call the worm exterminator for the 50th time this week!
The space dragons are acting like larva consuming a dying galaxy btw the smarter piece should be the end game boss It reproduces so much it's almost like a tyranid incursion
I've been looking for something like this for a long time now. Thank you for showing it to me.
I have no idea what the hell is going on
Order from chaos.
For everybody wondering why these Empires break apart that easily.
Think Warhammer 40k, but the Emperor Dies.
The false Emperor is already a dead corpse
; )
Maldus Alver the Farseer Council can still feel his presence ;)
dies completely.
Amazing timing for the music at the end. The biggest empire and the only one to transend. Perfect music for their rise to power.
Awesomeman and pinkcop if you look at the top right corner you can see that many other empires have transcended, they were just too small to see
Whoever controls the center, controls all!
The smallest galactic nation is 1,000x bigger than the British empire at its height.
* At it's height *
@@thelordconstantine1464 At it is height?
And don't get us started on the size of the _biggest_ galciv.
Nice of you to cover galimulator! I think it would’ve been helpful to have it in the title, though.
I look at the screen, the Genst Empire controls nearly all the Galaxy, I look at the comments for a sec and then the Genst Empire is no more :(
Don't worry, they transcended.
It seems being green is a pretty good trait to have, if you want to dominate the galaxy...
Vellisipsi Precisely. This is why you should vote for the Green Party.
(joke no kill me pls)
WAAAAAAGH!!!
Gehrman BEGONE GREENSKIN!
1:50 reminds me of when Rome fell, all hell broke loose in that part of the world.
Hehe, I once took control of an Empire in an Arm since it was more stable and hard to invade, I conquered the entire arm, *tried* to make friends with the biggest Macho around which sadly was a horde and made quite the advance in my territories until I persuaded another big-ish one to help me out
For quite some millenia later my territories remained as is while utter chaos ensued elsewhere and then I decided to "tamper a bit" with my ally, _totally incidentially_ a rebellion occured at the exact same time to their territory which allowed me to expand to his territory because "I was helpin' " , just before the ally got conquered by a blood purge nation of another arm I had several splotches of territory surrounded by the other thing
If I remember correctly just before being wiped out by another blood purge nation I had perhaps 2/3 of the galaxy as my own
Really awesome game tbh
Space rangers music...ahh i see you are a man of culture as well.
Mosiosinde and Youji both had over 300 millennia spanning Blood Purge across the skies, I wanna read a book about THAT!
This makes the events of 40k look insignificant.... Damn
To the people saying rebellion is impossible you are wrong. Not just because interstellar speeds is not present but also in game there is degeneration of empires which can be ticked off but ticked on it would cause even massive empire to collapse, there is a small chance it wont collapse entirely though. Just like the empires on earth before
SACC degeneration just prevents the degenerating empire from doing anything worthwhile for a long period of time, it doesn’t have any other effects. It’s essentially that empire throwing in the towel.
Of course, the real danger of this is that if you’re at war, and go into a degenerating state, you’re kinda screwed. You may get out of the state before your entire empire’s destroyed, but most of the time you’re done for.
If rebellion isn’t possible then how did I just declare that my backyard is an independent state
britton staton good point.

2060 - after fall of Genst Empire new dark ages begun in the galaxy.
Extra like for Space Rangers soundtrack.
One of the best to travel across the galaxy... time to play again, thx
Can't agree more
UA-cam recommendations chose you
I'm getting such a star wars vibe from this galaxy
Now let's play Stellaris with same scale of this map
Acasta! Jesus
Btw, in galimulator if an empire gets too big, the game does anything it can to stop it from taking over the galaxy.
When i tried to rig a nations power to the point that no one could beat them, they couldnt advance into no mans land :/
Thought this was Stellaris. Now I'm just confused.
xxTheFlyingPigxx same
Use 20000 stars and disable degeneration and transcending
You know what *space worms* are right? They're like worms, but in space.
Space Rangers' OST is the fucking best.
Space Rangers 2 Soundtrack....
I am glad someone know about this awesome game too
Honestly one of my, if not best game i ever played
First time i played it, it was 10 years ago (2009.)
I was 7 year old back then, yes i was little kid who didn't know what he is doing in this game ( I didn't even knew english so i only knew numbers and icons )
And I am still playing this game since then... (now Space Rangers HD, but it's same game)
Yes, maybe not that much anymore like before, but still play it like every 3rd month
And i forgot to say that I finished this game more than about 10 times (2 of it is from Space Rangers HD) and completed all planetary battles quests twice
I am simply in love with this game, every time i hear the soundtrack from it, i get huge nostalgia
how to win at galimulator according to AI:
step 1: BLOOD_PURGE
step 2: profit
th-this isn't stellaris
Space Rangers OST again? NICE! 👍
Looks hard. I mean, you look away for two seconds and your empire falls apart
It is boosted to show several thousand years in a couple of seconds. Original game goes in days. Without mod which will boost timespan, on fastest time scroll it is something like 2 days per second, which is not a lot of time in Stellaris
@@AlexGrom This isn't Stellaris, its Galimulator, which measures time in millenia, not days. That said, the speed HAS been drastically increased here compared to what it is in game.
@@RapidFyrez how do get that speed
@@o-o2399 you don't this is just sped up post production
*The Narnia Effect* in action, folks.
There's a bunch of... worms flying around.
There’s gonna be a lot of empires fighting in the new dimension
Two million years of space dragons.
gotta hand it to them the Toumeing did hold the centre of the galaxy together in the intermediate period between the Youji and Genst
10:19 "top 10 photos taken moments before disaster"
I can't tell if the border gore makes me really angry or really satisfied
War. War never changes.
I can just imagine a 40s voice in the beginning saying “War!!! Breaks out in the galactic front.”
ARRGGHH! THE BORDERGORE!
It's an art
And I thought HIO4 had it bad
God dang galactic space worms
OH YEAH SPACE RANGERS MUSIC YEAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!
thx for let me discover this game .
That looks like a tapeworm infection under a microscope
Koen Reynders argeed
With a timelijne so vast it laughs at 40k
ye. 40k is on,y 40 ticks here
Stellaris on a budget
6000 stars though, can you imagine...
There's a neat mod on the steam workshop for Stellaris which allows you to add up to 10000 stars in a galaxy
Even if your computer could handle 10000 stars, would you really want to play on a map that big? Even if you control 500 stars, that is still a lot of micromanagement that you need to do. Even if you, with your 500 stars, were to go to war with an empire that has 30 stars, you would be incredibly bored out of your mind, just micromanaging all of your fleets.
Now imagine having 2500 solar systems and going to war with an empire of another 2500 systems... It would take days if not weeks.
I like to shout-cast all the events happening in my head. It's good practice
The circle keeps on turning.
Damn that Space Rangers music...
Hell yeah! Such a nostalgic
I am glad someone heard and played that game
Huge nostalgia
Press F for Mosiosinde.
what are those space worms
those are space worms.
Nah those are dragons, their will attack any other thing (other dragons included) and some time will throw "flames" wich will "destroy" the star (in the sense that the one who had, well know he had to recolonize it)
*Gets events of Hunters to eradicate the galactic spawn and earn bounties by harassing hostile fleets
>Asks: What are those space worms?
>Replies: Those are space worms.
The internet has not failed being the internet today.
It seems like Empires that "Blood Purge" always get big. I wonder why that is...
Pontus Viklund It's actually not what you think it is, it's actually where they become omnicidal, and start killing everyone, even themselves. It's a pretty big issues when big empires go into it, because it fucks everyone over.
Even so, it still means that they are the ones who can establish truly humoungus empires, though they fall apart rather quikly. I suppose it is because thay are so agressive, that the other empires don't really have a valid response to it, and so, they fall to the horror that is "Blood Purging".
Actually, I just looked and you're not wrong
PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Some Random Space Marine
They get a very high combat and expansion bonus. Also Alterion mistook Blood Purge for All Will Be Ashes.
10:23 for the massive explosion of a empire equivalent to the Mongol Empire's fall.
Except they didn't fell, they transcended.
Музыка из космических рейнджеров как всегда прекрасна.
I guess you could say that each star on this map represents 1,000,000 stars
I’m surprised no hunters came after those dragons.
1:47 Episod 6 happened
Nobody:
Dragons:Multiplies and makes it unplayable
Gilunder was comparable to Austria-Hungary, because they managed to keep Youji (Russia) at bay but when they finally exploded chaos and Youji took over
What the hell is these white long things flying around?
Some space traveling species? Or it’s just effects?
Basicly space dragons, a common space monster in the game that devours entire planet populations. Sometimes and Empire can kill them but most won't have a large enough fleet.
Weirdest Stellaris game I've seen so far..
Do you think these people look back at Mosiosinde the way we do at Rome?
Do you know what happened 1.5 million years ago?
They didn't have electronic archives 1.5 million years ago, and furthermore, a civilization like that would be the center of intense scrutiny by historians and scholars.
I can't help but think it might be more like how the various factions in the Halo series look back on the Forerunners. Nearly encompassing the entire galaxy (ish) only to be wiped out suddenly and completely. Their left behind technology scattered across the cosmos, free for the taking by any who can find it.
electronic archives arent that great. You already can barely find any computer that can read floppy discs. Adititionally there'll be old data formats that no new program knows what to do with. While on the other side a book is a book is a book.
I don't see the issue of various formats for outdated or roughly equivalent technology being a problem for engineers of a fictional galactic order to not be able to solve in the span of several millennia. The issue is the cultural disparity. For instance, some books have been uncovered yet untranslated because the language was long dead. The medium upon which the information is shared is highly irrelevant, be it print or data archives of some mechanical form.
I think the OP's reference to Rome is apt. Namely, what questions do future generations have in the knowledge that they had predecessors?
why are there rebels everywhere? like it looks like it would latterly be impossible to have an empire because everyone will die from civil war
It uses milleniums as the unit of time for each change. So think about how many wars and rebellions there have been on Earth for the entirety of the last ten centuries. Then multiply that by over 1,000 planets and it makes sense that you can see many planets ripping away before being reabsorbed 1000 years later or so.
good point but still it seems like impossible to play from that many revolts everywhere all the micro it must take
You can set the max number of Empires at one time. Which, if you allow 30 or so, is much more manageable. At the end of the day, the amount of revolutions that occur is primary prompted by high corruption within the Empire or buckling under its own size from what i've experienced.
This is largely a spectator simulation game, not a 4X empire builder, from what it looks like
I've got the game as you can do both. You can really control the world but you can also play as a specific power, lots of factors like religion, alliances, reforms against increasing corruption, inciting riots in rival powers, developing fleets, prosperity of planets, commerce routes and all that sort of stuff.
I like watching the green grow
It's hard to watch this video, nostalgia is huge when i hear about space rangers 2 soundtracks..
God bless the confederation of slightly perturbed snails!
Dang that Blood Purge almost got them the galaxy.
This is how Hari Seldon did it.
Where is the second foundation?
I can't deny those books are something of an inspiration to the game :)
well fuck. have to replay space rangers now
Same shit bro
Same... Which class should I choose Trader, space pirate or Merc?
This makes my imagination run wild
It's pure bliss with moments like these..
Love this game I created a game with 800,000 stars
How beefy is your computer god fuckin damn
Bob Lemmin bro how was it, I wanna know, that’s pretty amazing
The comments seem to prove that Stellaris is the ultimate grand strategy space game right now. I think it's a bubble.
Space Rangers soundtrack lol
And that's what makes it 10x better
Why do only Blood Purging empires become big?
Hmm
They get a combat buff
Because violence.
Fact to lean from this: Green never wins
Chad Green vs Virgin Red, yes yes this checks out.
I ran across a free version of this game on the google store, but couldn't play it too much because it melts my phone.
Just imagine if you could do mass multiplayer with this owo
rip light green mega-empire
Is that the music from Space Rangers 2?
Yea

I also thought it was Stellaris wow
