How to Install a Moen Smart Wireless Soil Sensors

Moen’s new Smart Wireless Soil Sensors pair with the Smart Sprinkler Controller to take automated watering routines to the next level. The easy-to- install sensors eliminate the need for wires to provide flexible installation around yards and gardens.
Simply pair the soil sensors to your Moen Smart Sprinkler Controller and place one per zone throughout your property. Once inserted flush into the ground, the Moen Smart Wireless Soil Sensors measure the soil moisture and temperature levels at 1, 3 and 5 inch depths to determine if the soil moisture is above or below the set moisture thresholds which can be customized in the Smart Water App.

How do you adjust the moisture thresholds at the different depths of the soil sensor? 1”, 3”, and 5”?

Hello desmo rider and thank you for your interest in Moen products. To adjust the moisture thresholds within the Moen Smart Water app, navigate to the Zones tab, tap the Zone the Smart Wireless Soil Sensor has been added to, and then tap Soil Sensor Thresholds to access the Soil Sensor Thresholds page. Within the Moisture Levels area, you can edit the value from 0 - 100%. If you have additional questions or need further technical assistance, please contact Moen Smart Water Support at 1-844-633-8356.
