- Have you heard about the Aries Muffler and do you know how one works? They are made for Ford Model A’s! Paul put one in my 1929 Ford Model A Roadster and it sounds awesome and looks gorgeous!
Well, I found Joe Davis, owner of Aries Muffler & Parts at the Turlock Swap Meet, he has a booth in Building 1 near the exit door, he took some time out with me to do an interview and give us some great information about the Aries Muffler, how it works and how you can get your very own!
@paulshinn did a video of installing it in Roadie the Roadster, here’s the link to it -
• Best sounding car EVER...
I installed one of their stainless steel muffler's on our 1931 S/W sedan over 20 years ago and it still sounds and looks good!!! I will purchase another one in the future for our 1931 standard coupe that I got from my Dad in 2014
That’s so awesome!!
Looks like a very well-made product. Quilty parts that are made in the USA are hard to find nowadays.
♥️🇺🇸 Amen!
I have one on each of my of my cars. A stainless steel one and the steel one. I have noticed that both cars run better and cooler. A great product!
Awesomeness!!
The Aries Muffler seems like the way to go. This is so interesting about the stainless steel vs steel and the different properties that they have. Great video Tina!
Thank you so much! He is a real great guy with a lot of info!
Great history lesson plus all the complexities of the muffler. 😮
Very cool, I cut one open once, but it was really rotted and couldn't tell what was really in there. I know some guys drill an 1/8 inch hole at the low spot so it drains. I've never done that but my Nissan pickup has one, from the factory.
What a neat swap meet and Mr. Joe Davis is a very nice man, nice product too. Thanks for sharing, y'all have a wonderful time at the swap meet. Stay safe and have a great weekend!
Thank you so much Dan! Yes, very nice guy!
It's funny but I thought there would be a lot more inside the muffler housing to make it sound so good.
Lol, before I found out I felt the same way!
Love your videos on the Turlock Swap meet. Thankyou for showing the Aries mufflers.
Thank you!
I always wondered what was going on inside that tube 👍🚗
Me too 🤣
Thank you both for the lesson! Hope you’re enjoying the meet. ~ Chuck
Thank you!
Wonderful. The price on the stainless, is not too bad.
My favorite SwapMeet - have fun! Joe's a good friend of mine from Medford Oregon.
Awesome! He really is such a nice guy and so informative!
I bought my Aries muffler over 30 years ago - have 25,000 miles on my car and it still works and looks GREAT.
He's so modest too. I've known him over 30 years; great guy and very knowledgable on Model A's in general.@@Modeltshinn
@@mafcawebmaster4237 awesomeness!
Yep! Thanks for that segment. It's the only muffler to buy. It's on our 28
Pretty cool! Thanks!
Hi Tina, My wife and I enjoy yours and Pauls videos of knowledge!! I was just wondering about Paul it's been 3 weeks since he had put out a video, and I hope he is well.
Hi thank you! In his last video for New Year’s Day, he explained that he was taking January off to tend to big projects at work, no problems, he’s doing well, thank you 💗
O, thank you for responding.
Good morning model T!
That is the wrong kind of 'muffler' to keep you warm!
Although I'm sure it is a big conversation starter!
Buddup dump! 🥁
@@Modeltshinn Yes, I know...
Silly boy. And 'punny' too!
Well, Model T did you get one to post the installation process on your Model A “Roadie”??
Paul already installed one in Roadie in his video - ua-cam.com/video/mK_ixIUdyMQ/v-deo.htmlsi=5tzTp3zkye_U6cJa
The bend to the exhaust manifold often is too great putting pressure on the front of the flange causing it to break. Had muffler shop tip it forward a few degrees to have it seat square on the exhaust ball. Buddy just bends the pipe putting a little kink at the front flange weld. Can not really tell in the video but figure with Ford drawings and correct clamps all this should not be needed.
