I think in this year they had no reviews and when mangers see they reverse a call after the umpires get together I am sure the mangers are saying how are the other umpires who are father away going to definitely overrule the umpire who is closer to the play.
Last I checked, I'm pretty sure the tie goes to the runner. Seems like some umpires have forgotten this... Even worse, it seems some of the announcers have too after listening to them contemplate after watching it from 4 different angles... If ya can't tell for sure, its pretty simple, he's safe!
No umpire will follow this. The runner has to beat the play for it to be an out, plus umpires will always call a game as fast as possible, pace of play is important. Outs are better than safes in an umpire's mind, like strikes are better than balls.

That is not the rule at all. The rule is the runner has to bear the play. So a tie would actually be an out since the runner didn’t beat the play
