Steve Kerr is awesome, one of the most respected guys in the NBA, it's no Wonder he turned Golden State into champions, hope he stays healthy and well.
@@sangun123 You can make that eight rings overall. And after this season, that tally will grow. And I'm enjoying every moment as a fan of easy on the eye basketball.
I remember playing soccer with my friends on the streets with my basket shoes and my mom going out of my house and finding me and SSCCCRRREEEAMING her lungs out because I was going to screw the shoes!
Watched it so many times. Jordan really has nimble feet! That turn on the heel.....didn't see it a first, but when I saw it, it kinda blew my mind (he turned on his heel...jawdrop).
Kenny was the signed nba player with the 89' NIKE Solo Flights..SO DOPE. Air Pennys 1 and 2 and Chris Webber Air Max Sensations, Ewing Rouges, Adidas Concords. My favs
You had to have MAJOR game to get the hustlers to get you shoes. I mean MAJOR! Not just better than everybody in your hood but that meant you actually was crushing dudes from other places too. In Philly only ball players could go to other hoods without having problems. If you made a name for yourself outside of your direct area you got taken care of. Not just sneakers either...real hustlers gamble and bet on games. BIG money was involved...I'm talking 5-figure money and up. It was a way to keep the talent safe. Ball players have always been protected commodities.
The Air Jordan 7 & 8 "Playoffs" were the first shoes that i dreamed of owning but my first pair was Reebok basketball shoe with a basketball tongue (not the Pump). It seems like a cheap Reebok basketball shoe but i thought they were awesome back then.
one shoe i was really envious of was the rare 'nike air command force', back in 1991, my rich classmate on his bday received this pair of nike's , what's different about this from all other nike's is this one had a pump, and as u know reebok will always be associated with the pump, reebok's pump was a half basketball on the tongue of the shoe, nike had their pump on the side of the high top... maybe this shoe came out before reebok could patent the 'pump' for themselves, i wish nike do a re release of the shoe, or maybe there is a restriction of the pump thing...
Those were David Robinsons the yellow ones from White Men Can't Jump "Billy Hoyle's" and then the Gray and white Air Force Command 180s that came with thier own case and pump. Check eBay I picked up two pair there.
Damn my first pairs of shoes were the Jordan 9 Retro Charcoal, I remember them shoes were my first ever Jordan’s and I wish I still had them not because of the young guys wearing them as a trend but those were my first ever basketball shoes.
I had so many, but the first ones I really remember wanting was the Reebok Questions when I was in middle school, the first shoes Iverson wore in the NBA. I think my favorite sneaker is either the High Top Air Force 1 (not the mid) or the Jordan 5, silver and black. Definitely agree on the shell toe Adidas. I got some of those, as well as the Stan Smith. I got some Chucks, but never hoop in them. LeBron Zoom Soldier lineup from around 2006-7 were dope too. I never got into Pumas, but the Flightposites were cool in my opinion.
My pops bought me the first pair of Jordans and they were 68 bucks, that was crazy expensive l. And those the only shoes i had for the whole year, 7th grade 1985
I'm young so I grew up in the Jordans generation. So of course my favorite shoe of all time is the Retro Bordeaux 7 (I wouldn't dare playing basketball in them, I don't even run at all in them)
Lmao that's so true I remember the guy in the getting me 2 basketball sneakers..didn't know they did that in America...he had a connection with footlocker..smh cost like $250 for two shoes
"what hood you go to?" lol I'm crying
They need to make more episodes of this, their stories are absolute gold
this is their show it's called Open Court just in case you didn't know
oh yeah I did, I just hoped they'd make more with this group
+Isaiah Murrell it'd be nice if they had a play list or channel just for Open Court here on UA-cam
Steve Kerr is so funny... and they all respect him so much too

@@bluechi9816 I had to look up who Phil Knight is but once I did 😂

His life not all roses tho, his dad was killed by terorrist

Thats because MJ punched him in the face and he hit him back. that gains you tons of respect
The only black players that don't accept Steve Kerr are the racist pieces of shit.
