They actually have a special button for that, but that just gets rid of the numbering on the first page. How stupid can that be.

@Max What could be easier? If over half a million people have to lecture themselves online to do something as trivial as starting page numbering from page 3, then maybe you're looking at bad design.
@Max it is because half of the buttons mentioned in the video like ‘link to previous’ are simply not there, on the page or on search. Not the fault of the guy making the video, he is trying to help, but MS is just yesterdays technology. Too full of itself to just make things easy.

One caveat: on the MS Word 2016 system here, the "link to previous section" button would not turn blue and it inserted a question not shown in the video. The process is actually fairly easy once you learn it. It only takes 20 seconds to complete.

The previous link did not work in my word 2016, but I didn't need it. The part where you explain the page break and starting the page numbering from there worked.

Seriously word is the worst Microsoft office program ever. Excell, Powerpoint, everything else works beautifully but they threw common sense overboard when they designed word.

Why in the world would anyone dislike this video? I can understand not liking music, videos and such stuff that is subjective, but this video is just overall simple, useful, informative and as people are saying below, i also made my masters degree without knowing this stuff (because thanks Microsoft) and it was the final boss in my college fight, so to speak. I can only imagine the 1k dislikes are from people who made this piece of sh*t program for text editing.

Thanks for the tutorial. Great video quality, nice voice you have, and tutorial goes in a comfortable pace. Cannot imagine that I'm a degree programmer student but search for video tutorial just to learn M.Word page numbering. It's so damn difficult and the guide from Microsoft website is outdated. Damn Microsoft. I guest majority students will failed if the lab test/examination cover this M.Word page numbering. Haha. Again, thank you very much :D
