- No surprise that Lin-Manuel Miranda's directorial debut should be a fantastic celebration of life! Here, the cast of Tick, Tick...BOOM! (Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, Vanessa Hudgens, Joshua Henry, Robin De Jesús along with Miranda) chat with Emmy-winner Tara Hitchcock (IG: @taraontv) about making the film, writing about 'what you know', and the things in THEIR homes that might give us the biggest clues as to who THEY are (we learn a lot about Jonathan Larson when we see his apartment). Miranda shares an emotional story of something his 3-year-old son said while finishing the movie. Catch "Tick, Tick...BOOM!" in select theaters now and on Netflix 11/19!

When Lin talked about ‘Why’ and his three year old son recognizing the emotion in the scene before that got me. That song is such a big emotional release, I might use it if I need a good cry.

Hudgens and Henry killed it in their performances. I was very impressed with Garfield's consistency throughout the film.
I wish I have given Andrew the warmest hug instead of just stood quietly IFO him when he walked toward his fans looking like what he described in the interview at the end of the AFI premiere.
