This is one of the craziest days in college football history, so many upsets.
Vandy and bama and now Hogs and Tennessee
First Alabama is to hyped up so I don’t consider that an upset. Two plays difference between Georgia and that win. If those two go another way Alabama wouldn’t be number 1. Second Arkansas always looses but they are always close losses and Tennessee is known for not keeping their head on so I don’t Consider this an upset either. Just another Saturday of anyone can be beat football

Coming into the year Alabama wasn’t going to be as good as they used to just because it’s the first year without Saban. So I knew they would drop one well I know they’ll drop more than one. Just watch. So saying that Alabama shouldn’t have never been ranked No 1. Texas should have stayed until they lost.

People are going crazy over “SEC bias” in the rankings. Vandy is way better than they used to be and Arkansas is probably at vandy’s level rn. Bama and UT didn’t loose to group of five teams. They lost to power four teams that would beat most of the ACC, Big ten, and big 12. Growing up a Louisville fan, it hurts how UK dominates them in football. Mid-tier and bottom of the barrel SEC teams beat their out of conference opponents. Virginia tech, nc state, Clemson, and Louisville were supposedly good teams this year but we saw how they faired against SEC teams
And just like that the preseason top 3 retain their rankings.
1. Ohio state
2. Texas
3. Oregon
The SEC might as well change its name from the Southeastern Conference to the Southeastern Cannibals because as conference play ramps up, everyone is starting to eat each other up. Last weekend, Ole Miss lost to Kentucky and Georgia lost to Alabama. This past weekend, Missouri lost to Texas A&M, Alabama lost to Vanderbilt, and Tennessee lost to Arkansas. In fact, here are some notable teams that the current 1-loss SEC teams (as of this posting on Sunday October 06, 2024) still have to play this season:
Alabama: at TENN, vs MU, at LSU, at OU
Georgia: at TEX, at MISS, vs TENN
LSU: vs MISS, at ARK, at TAMU, vs ALA, vs OU
Missouri: at ALA, vs OU, at USCjr, vs ARK
Oklahoma: TEX, at MISS, at MU, vs ALA, at LSU

As a bama fan it stunk to watch bama lose but to see the vols go down to…. SEC shorts will hilarious this week
That drives me crazy! Can’t stand when these college qb’s (with the game on the line and in these must score or convert situations) decide to run out of bounds, throw it away or throw it short of the line of gain/end zone. Are they that worried about potentially turning the ball over in that situation? Is the qb just dumb and somehow forgot the situation? It’s literally the last play of the game in this instance!
It happens, but don’t see it as often in the NFL. I’m also not talking about those Hail Mary’s where the qb is unable to throw it 60-70 yards and ends up 5-10 yards shy of the end zone. They’re at least trying and giving their team a chance. You never know. A lucky tipped ball or defensive break down/poor judgement might go your way. A college qb like this is making too much money to do this. Don’t think I’m being too critical in this situation.
