  • Aluminum with Sodium Hydroxide in the presence of water gives of pure Hydrogen. Burning of hydrogen creates just a water vapor so it is totally non-toxic. You can use it for indoor house heating even without a chimney.

Hey! Check out my setup of making Hydrogen from heating up a crucible with Galinstan and Aluminum foil. Then adding Aluminum Galinstan to Hydrogen oxide (H2O, Water) to create Hydrogen gas. It's also possible to generate Hydrogen gas from Ethanol water. I will try to make Isopropylamine in the future with acetone and ammonia and with lab equipment I will get and more Gallium and Indium and Tin to make Galinstan. About a little more than half of my Galinstan spilled in the kitchen and it keeps dirtying stuff. I will need a lab coat, gloves, goggles, a gas mask, a fan, and opening a window. And also a flat bottom boiling flask and heating mantle and a bottle of vodka. If it doesn't work well, I will get propylene glycol (boiling point elevation. Colligative properties.) to then raise the temperature. Someone once made some amphetamine with P2NP (Phenyl-2-NitroPropene). I want to eventually make Norpropylhexedrine and Propylhexedrine from Cyclohexyl-2-Propanone and Ammonia and Methylamine in ethanol water.

This could be used for off grid heating, for someone who can collect aluminium that's thrown away could be great option

Have you tried to build a house heating installation based on this experience ?

No not yet ;) The hydrogen will be electrolysed from water with the use of solar power. The chemical method is too expensive on large scale.

@@LUKELECTRIC I tried to produce hydrogen few years ago but according to my results know the demand of hydrogen (for house heating) is much greater in winter time than summer. In this situation think It’s really hard to use solar power for example now. Second milestone is good and safe method of storing large quantities of this gas. Costs of installation for pumping and and compressing hydrogen (Ex II2G/D or ExII3 G/D ) are disproportionately high. My plan is to start using biogas because it’s better and safer. I currently live several meters from Your laboratory. Maybe we can meet in future and exchange our experiences related to alternative methods of heating house installations.
