When buying a bt earbuds, check if it atleast support AAC codec. Boats recently downgraded it's inbuilt processor to only accommodate SBC codec, a most basic and bad audio quality codec. Distortion can be cause of the SBC. To check if your bt earbuds supports higher quality bt codec. 1 go to about phone, software info and tap 7 times on build number. 2. Go to developer settings (scroll to last on settings or search developer settings on settings search bar) 3 after tapping on developer settings, scroll till you find HD audio and Bluetooth codecs. By default your bt earbuds should support aac instead of sbc. If aac is greyed out or can't select it. Return the product immediately.
