Steam Trains in Michigan - July 1990

The weekend of July 14-15 1990 there were excursions on the TSBY using Pere Marquette 1225 between Owosso & St Charles, and also trips from Detroit to Fort Wayne featuring N&W 1218.
If 2 steam engines makes a good weekend, then a 3rd is even better, so I started on Saturday in Flint filming D&RGW 464 on the narrow gauge Huckleberry RR.
Saturday:
1 Huckleberry RR train westbound at the village farm crossing.
2. Huckleberry RR train on the West loop.
3 Huckleberry RR train eastbound at the village farm crossing.
4. PM 1225 departing St Charles southbound.
5. PM 1225 arriving at Chesaning.
6. PM 1225 southbound at Ferden Rd.
Sunday:
7. N&W 1218 departs Adrian MI with a lengthy excursion train to Fort Wayne IN.

My family rode the Saturday 1218 trip. I didn't know 1225 was in action that weekend too! That's the kind of big steam action that just doesn't happen anymore!

I got to go to the Huckleberry Railroad in June 2007, and I got to see Pere Marquette 1225 in June 2015 and June 2016.

The Huckleberry RR engine must be really old.

JacksonAndLansing Railroad Looks like the 464 was built in 1903. The 1225 & 1218 were both built in the early 1940's

Nicholas Medovich I think I have some steam trips from Illinois, but not until the mid to late '90s.
