- All the reasons I bought Sinabroks
In this video I unbox a brand new set of Sinabroks pricking irons. I unbox, review and then compare them with the other pricking irons I considered before purchase and the reasons I chose Sinabroks. I also chisel and stitch some leather to test the look of the stitches.

I want to upgrade but not ready to spend that kind of money. What are your suggestion???
Finally got mine in the mail a couple of days ago, I got 3.85 though and they came in separate boxes..love them so much and I find myself doing more projects just to use them! Keep the content coming please
Yes they are really great! I will have a new video out soon.
I just randomly found your channel and used a pattern. I normally make my own but I liked one of yours. Please keep making them lol. I'd definitely use them from time to time, and it's extremely clear to follow your videos. Thanks :)
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm a KS Blades guy. I tried the Sinabroks but prefer the KS'. The KS are easier to set in the scribed line and don't make my fingers smell like brass. I've never had to replace a tooth but it is nice that it could be done with the Sinabroks. The Sinabroks teeth are better polished. I think the 3.38s show off the stitching better than other sizes.
I was almost going to get KS Blade instead, they are both very similar in terms of look and function. KS Blade now have a brass version too
V2 of KS Blades may have user replaceable prongs, perhaps following the method used with Sinabroks.
@@pequodexpress That is funny, the guy that started Sinabroks used to work for KS Blades.
@@TeranAtelier I wrote that Sinabrooks maker is an old employee of KS-Blade. I think they can make changes if you request them.
I LOVE THEM! THAKS FOR THE REVIEW!!!
You are welcome!
One of my dream tool😍
Nice video btw👍🏻 good job
Go for it! 😀
Is there also a downside to having many prongs on a tool? They go up to 12 or 13, is that too much?
Keep going master ❤
Thank you for the support!! 👍
Thank you so much master, i eally need this info
You are always welcome!
Great video I was wondering what pricking Iron you would recommend Iuse crimson hide now but the tooth broke off Sinabroks sound good are you using the french or the inverse irons? I noticed that they have a 12 prong pricking iron would this work for wallets?
Thanks! I always use standard irons and do not own any inverse/reverse irons. The more prongs on your irons the more force is required for hammering. I would recommend around 20-30mm long irons are fine for wallets e.g. 3mm x 10 prongs = 30mm. Anything more is just more cost and more force required leading to mistakes.
where are these manufactured?
Hello! I'm in doubt. Should I purchase the thinner version of pricking irons (french style) or stop at the regular version. Please help me make a choice.
Hi, I would recommend the thinner version. The thicker ones like mine are probably a bit too thick.
3.38 can be used for watch straps ?
Yes 3.38mm is around standard for a watch strap. For finer looking stitches go for 3mm or 2.7mm spacing.
I do like that you don't have to send it back to the manufacturer for prong replacement if needed. Where is the set screw that allows replacing the prongs?
These don't use screws and instead use a type of glue. Sinabroks have a repair method video ua-cam.com/video/UPufkvakpJ0/v-deo.html
@@TeranAtelier KS Blade has a Version 2 that may copy the Sinabroks method of securing the prongs.
Yes looks like it. But still not as pretty as Sinabroks.
Hello.. how are your ions doing do you still recommend them??
Hi, I still like them but the width of the prongs is very wide and so it does not match with small projects like watch straps where there is not much space. Sinabroks have since released a narrower prong which would solve this problem. For medium size projects this is not an issue and I would still recommend them.
Have you ever tried casting on the back side and pulling your thread with left hand up punching away from you and your right hand pulling down toward your side?
I experimented with all sorts of methods and I found the one I use now most comfortable.
But how do you properly use the 2 prong for curved stitching lines?
You need to mark in a offset line away from the edge with dividers. Then punch holes along the offset line using the 2 prong to maintain even spacing.
I'm assuming that Sinabroks has adopted tooth widths used by KS Blade: 1.6mm tooth width for both 2.7 and 3.9 irons and a 1.8mm width for all irons 3.38 and above. Atelier Pro Plus/isvara are the only irons I know of with unique widths for each iron: 2.7/1.45mm, 3.0/1.6mm, 3.38/1.75mm, 3.85 and 4.0/1.85mm.
Sinabroks only seem to have one standard tooth which is the 2.2mm width according to their website. This means depending on your spacing the stitching will have a different look over their size spacing range 3.0-5.4mm. Ideally having the width vary with the spacing is best but you can imagine there is some cost saving by having less tooth models. KS blade is a bit better in this regard with their two tooth sizes and availability of a 2.7mm spacing option.
@@TeranAtelier That is why I am amazed that Isvara can sell a two-prong and an eight/nine/ten prong for CNY 366, which Atelier Pro Plus is selling at a severe mark-up.
@@pequodexpress I could not find much about Isvara but they may just be selling at a discount to get their name out there.
@@TeranAtelier Peter Nitz is coming out with a line of pricking irons that have differentiated tooth widths across SPI. I'm assuming they will be priced competitively with KS Blade and Sinabroks.
@@pequodexpress That will be interesting to see.
What is the width of the prongs at the tip and about half way up? Does it get a bit wider going up, or does it stay constant?
It is 2.2mm wide at the tip and then widens out. Halfway is around 2.5mm and 2.8mm at the top.
Very BEST PRICKING IRON ! I LOVE MY & never ever I buy outer again!!!
Yes, they are really nice to use.
A disfrutarlos amigo, que placer trabajar con esas herramientas

What size is your stitching punch?
They are 3.38mm spacing with a 2 tooth and a 10 tooth.
