Now yes he can over describe scenes sometimes but I think you would enjoy Pet Cemetery, The Shinning and Carrie, his first novel. 📚❤. Book recs!! Gillian Flynn writes great mystery/thrillers (sharp objects, gone girl) and Karin Slaughter has some thrillers that I rated 4-5 stars! I also loved the Silent Patient when I read it a few years ago. I also hear great things about Lucy Foley and Riley Sager but haven't read much of their work yet. Also, while watching this, I am crocheting a tapestry of Moo Deng the hippo lol. Love your crochet and chats!!
BEST COSTUME YETTTT! I’ve also never seen Gilmore girls and don’t think Friends is funny… I LOVE the office though and parks and rec! I don’t read a ton of thrillers but The Mexican Gothic is one I read recently and it’s pretty good! I think I have it 4/5 stars! But on of my favorite books if you haven’t read it is The Book Thief! It’s not really mystery thriller but it’s soooo good!
Your Haloween memories sounded so much fun. In my country (at least where I live) Haloween was not really celebrated when I was a kid, so it was new and very fun thing to hear about your experiances as a kid. I used to love reading, and now I love to listen to audiobooks. My favourite book genres are crime novels.

Growing up in Massachusetts, we experience the exact opposite weather struggle on Halloween night. I grew up begging my parents to not make me wear a jacket over my costume because it was always freezing or snow on the ground
Hi Dana, I had a similar experience with “The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires” where I just had to stop reading because I was so grossed out (and I’m not usually very squeamish). You’ve probably already read it but the “Silent Patient” was a really good mystery thriller (imo). It’s funny hearing you talk about Halloween in Arizona, I had the opposite in weather here in Canada! We always had to have costumes that would either fit over our snowsuits or be warm enough in case there was snow which half the time there was! 😂 ❄️

I'm the same, I dont really like Friends and I LOVE the Office. Gilmore girls is so good because you just end up loving all of the characters. A good book rec is The silent patient by Alex Michaelides. Halloween Party Murder by Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis and Barbara Ross is a good seasonal murder mystery.

Funny you talk about growing up in Arizona for Halloween, I can't imagine. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and literally remember running through almost waist deep snow on one Halloween night!😂sooo different, I think I'd choose the snow though cause adding a costume always kept us warmer.

Good afternoon Bride of Frankenstein. As always a great video. I love these crochet with a friend ones especially as you are such a great vibe overall. I'm currently working on a couple of Halloween orders (ghosts walking dogs and cats lol and bat keychains) and some coffee koozies that I make for my local coffee shop (I make and donate them, they sell them for their school building foundation in Africa and they give me free coffee in return). This is my favourite season so I am in my element with a hot coffee, cozy blanket, my pup snuggling in, my crochet projects and catching up on videos. I love Gilmore Girls and like you I think Friends is way overrated. With books my go to genre is supernatural thriller/horror and my favourite author is Dean Koontz. I love all the characters, they're so funny and it's a good cozy mystery! I think it would be good for a break between more intense/dark thrillers. On the sweatshirt, yeah I've definitely noticed it too 😅 ..... I had the tradition to buy merch every time I went to a show or concert since pre-COVID it was usually $20 for a t-shirt and $35 for a sweatshirt. There's been times I've bought as many as 3 shirts after a show to support the artists. Now it's just too expensive 😬

If you need a palate cleanser, I recommend Assistant to the Villain! My book club ladies were influenced by booktok (I know nothing of that world). I’m working on the sequel now and I love it. Not quite the genre you’re after, but it’s funny and quirky and I think fits the Halloween season well.

I don't read a lot of thrillers, but I do enjoy a cozy/fun mystery. I recommend the Mr. Darcy and Miss Tilney series by Claudia Gray; the first is the murder of Mr. Wickham. It's based on Jane Austen characters after her stories (I enjoyed them having only read pride and prejudice). I also liked the Saffron Everleigh Mysteries by Kate Khavari; A Botanist's Guide to Parties and Poisons is the first book. I also tend to mostly listen to audiobooks. It's nice to be able to do other things while reading. I am continuing with my cardigan from last week this week. I'm on the last sleeve so it's almost done! Can't wait to see what the squares are for!

I love watching all of your videos, you've helped me get a lot of projects done for my newly small business when I don't feel like doing anything! Anyways Gilmore Girls is one of my favorite shows, I start rewatching it around this time every year. It gets better the longer you watch it! Also if you haven't read "where the crawdads sing" yet you should it's one of my favorites right now. I am currently working on winter theme mystery boxes for my next two markets in November.

Book recs!! Gillian Flynn writes great mystery/thrillers (sharp objects, gone girl) and Karin Slaughter has some thrillers that I rated 4-5 stars! I also loved the Silent Patient when I read it a few years ago. I also hear great things about Lucy Foley and Riley Sager but haven't read much of their work yet. Also, while watching this, I am crocheting a tapestry of Moo Deng the hippo lol. Love your crochet and chats!!
BEST COSTUME YETTTT! I’ve also never seen Gilmore girls and don’t think Friends is funny… I LOVE the office though and parks and rec! I don’t read a ton of thrillers but The Mexican Gothic is one I read recently and it’s pretty good! I think I have it 4/5 stars! But on of my favorite books if you haven’t read it is The Book Thief! It’s not really mystery thriller but it’s soooo good!

Your Haloween memories sounded so much fun. In my country (at least where I live) Haloween was not really celebrated when I was a kid, so it was new and very fun thing to hear about your experiances as a kid. I used to love reading, and now I love to listen to audiobooks. My favourite book genres are crime novels.

Mystery books… it’s maybe like a thriller mystery, but The Housemaid series by Freida McFadden was awesome! The first book is the best, totally had me hooked! All of them are good, twisty turny books and easy reads. Ha! Scratch all that… just got to the part where you said you’ve read most of her books. 😆🤦🏻♀️

Another great costume! Growing up in Minnesota, you pick a costume knowing you need to wear a coat under it. The opposite issue than you had. I have never seen Gilmore Girls either.) One of my favorite books, although it’s not a mystery book, is Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah.
Growing up in Massachusetts, we experience the exact opposite weather struggle on Halloween night. I grew up begging my parents to not make me wear a jacket over my costume because it was always freezing or snow on the ground

Hi Dana, I had a similar experience with “The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires” where I just had to stop reading because I was so grossed out (and I’m not usually very squeamish). You’ve probably already read it but the “Silent Patient” was a really good mystery thriller (imo). It’s funny hearing you talk about Halloween in Arizona, I had the opposite in weather here in Canada! We always had to have costumes that would either fit over our snowsuits or be warm enough in case there was snow which half the time there was! 😂 ❄️

A good book rec is The silent patient by Alex Michaelides. Halloween Party Murder by Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis and Barbara Ross is a good seasonal murder mystery.

Funny you talk about growing up in Arizona for Halloween, I can't imagine. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and literally remember running through almost waist deep snow on one Halloween night!😂sooo different, I think I'd choose the snow though cause adding a costume always kept us warmer.

It is not thriller per say but I love the series Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I loved them! Also when growing up we always went out trick or treating and with all my cousins and we went all out with costumes.

Great video as always! I highly recommend crocheting in public! Just this morning I went to Panera and got a pastry and coffee and sat for an hour with a friend while we crocheted and chatted. Good afternoon Bride of Frankenstein. As always a great video. I love these crochet with a friend ones especially as you are such a great vibe overall. I'm currently working on a couple of Halloween orders (ghosts walking dogs and cats lol and bat keychains) and some coffee koozies that I make for my local coffee shop (I make and donate them, they sell them for their school building foundation in Africa and they give me free coffee in return). This is my favourite season so I am in my element with a hot coffee, cozy blanket, my pup snuggling in, my crochet projects and catching up on videos. I love Gilmore Girls and like you I think Friends is way overrated. With books my go to genre is supernatural thriller/horror and my favourite author is Dean Koontz. I'm so late to this video (I've been saving it for when I had a new project to crochet) and my book rec is The Thursday Murder Club! I love all the characters, they're so funny and it's a good cozy mystery! I think it would be good for a break between more intense/dark thrillers. I also really enjoyed the Good Girls Guide to Murder series!

On the sweatshirt, yeah I've definitely noticed it too 😅 ..... I had the tradition to buy merch every time I went to a show or concert since pre-COVID it was usually $20 for a t-shirt and $35 for a sweatshirt. There's been times I've bought as many as 3 shirts after a show to support the artists. Now it's just too expensive 😬

If you need a palate cleanser, I recommend Assistant to the Villain! My book club ladies were influenced by booktok (I know nothing of that world). I’m working on the sequel now and I love it. Not quite the genre you’re after, but it’s funny and quirky and I think fits the Halloween season well.

I enjoyed the moving vlogs! Your content crochet related or not is definitely some of my favorites ( I tend to catch up on your videos first). I don't read a lot of thrillers, but I do enjoy a cozy/fun mystery. I recommend the Mr. Darcy and Miss Tilney series by Claudia Gray; the first is the murder of Mr. Wickham. It's based on Jane Austen characters after her stories (I enjoyed them having only read pride and prejudice). I also liked the Saffron Everleigh Mysteries by Kate Khavari; A Botanist's Guide to Parties and Poisons is the first book. I also tend to mostly listen to audiobooks. It's nice to be able to do other things while reading. I am continuing with my cardigan from last week this week. I'm on the last sleeve so it's almost done! Can't wait to see what the squares are for!
Amish food is always the best. I don’t know what they put in it but I’ve never had anything bad from them.
