I feel Raimnent of the Infinite is a must with Ball Lighnting. Been playing Ball Lightning for 4 seasons now. Adding the teleport enchantment with Raimnent, you can basically constantly teleport.
What is your rotation to keep up the permashield?
Teleport->ice shield (both up at the same time)->blades->ballballball->spam shields (always having them both up at same time?)-> throw in flame shield for uh oh?

Ive been using it forever, and recently switched to FO, and I almost feel like Incinerate was stronger. But I dont have all the glyphs leveled up yet, but still. I was really hyped to play something different

its a very fun build, but i dont know, i spent lots of hours as sorc this season and i feel like its so dead compared to other classes, good map clears but the boss damage in most builds is just ass.
Some of the good perks arnt working correctly and it's cutting sorc damage in half.
It is. I mainly played Sorc and I still love but I made a Necro after a Sorc and it's a world of difference. Only downside is build variety isn't comparable to Sorc but the upside is none of the struggles of Sorc.

I've been playing this with Teleport Enchantment and Rainment and boots with Attacks that reduce the evade cooldown and for mobbing it's actually pretty baller. Teleport in > Cast a few > pop some cooldowns > dodge > cast more > cooldowns > teleport > etc. It keeps them grouped up and cc'd and you can pull them around just like Merkvar does with his High pit pushes with his Flame Shield build.

Having a blast with your Frozen Orb/Fractured Winterglass build and even tho I'm still only level 80 or so and my mediocre gear still crushes NMD and Pit with monster levels around 130 with relative ease...keep up the Sorcerer content!!!

I think the lucky hit chance aspect should be on the necklace, It helps trigger ALL lucky hit effects more efficiently, damn near all the time

I hope now that masterworking is way cheaper sorc gets a little bit of a boost and we’re able to hit those high damage stacks with fully masterworked gear. Also always appreciate your effort to still help the sorcs.
random sidebar for your consideration: how do we feel about making ball lightning a partial frozen orb build? running fractured winterglass, frozen orb enchant, and shatter mixed with low cooldown reduction essentially pushes out swarms of frozen orbs dealing massive damage on top of ball lightning damage. i am currently trying to level and test the theory but seen someone push it in the ptr and haven’t seen anything from it since. would love to know your thoughts or even if you could test it to see, that would be wonderful. i really think the hybrid of the two could work but have no idea what the viability would be in its current state. maybe rock ice blades enchant still with conjuration to lower cooldowns on top of tempering + conj mastery damage? idk its a pipe dream but thought i would drop this in here with the hopes it peaks your curiosity. overall great vid tho! still absolutely love the blue balls of death playstyle
Interesting, I'm going to do some testing on it. In theory though it sounds like it should work, though you'll have to swap out some aspects to get frozen orb to actually do damage. If I find anything I'll post some kind of video, or comment here.
I’m close to getting my second Uber, ring of starless, got lucky on and got a tyraels which needs a damage buff imo
I skipped season 2 and leveled with this build when I dropped the gravitational aspect. Feels pretty great to be unkillable and just siphon health from enemies ngl. Might switch back to this later for pit.

I have never seen an amulet with a bonus to conjuration mastery and devouring blaze before. That is quite a find.
For the amount of mana that ball lightning consumes it really should do a bit more damage or perhaps cost less mana to create.
I am running a ball lightning build and I have been able cast ball lightning almost continuously without relying on Tibault's will, Starless Skies or mana from crackling energy. That said, it is a bit of pain. I have plus to mana per second on the helm, chest and feet. Addtionally, I have 3 ranks in fiery surge and a total of 6 ranks in conjuration mastery. I also have maxed out lucky hit and my build uses two items with affixes that give a 5% chance to grant mana on a lucky hit. Additionally, getting items with reduced resource cost is very helpful. Grabbing the extra mana nodes on the static surge and elemental summoner boards was also needed.
It is a little crazy but it does work... sort of. My damage is much lower than what is shown in the video.
Anyway, I am looking forward to your take on continuous flame shield. I think it could work well with frozen orb.
Been doing a variant of ice spikes using fireball / firebolt spellenchantments, umbral on ring == infinitemana .. works really smooth destroying helltides, we could do the same in season 2 with hydra + firebolt/ball but with way more usefulness outside helltides.

Also,I see you have lucky hit to stun tempered on. If you want,you could reroll that to something else if using Raiment of the Infinite ,as you will be teleporting the whole time and stunning enemies.
I’ve only tried the incinerate hydra meteor build for the sorcerer. I’ve been melting everything including bosses.

Is it just me or does overflowing Mastery seem like it's not making Unstable currents cooldown go lower? Cause I've tried it but still seem to be waiting 20-30 seconds to use it again

Ball lightning, it's your main damage source. Unstable is more for an extra dmg boost for elite packs and bosses.
Are the Yen boots used in any build? I like them so much more then the esu?
They wouldn't work here since you'd be losing a ton of damage without ranks to ball lightning.

Is Echo of Lilith immune to BL? I can one shot trash and bosses in NMD, but tried her and she takes 0 damage. Tried running around and didn't knock off more than a sliver of health. Tried at 90 and again at 99, same result.

Great guide. Been playing around with BL currently, trying different Paragon boards. Your board differs extremely compared to others, e.g. Warlugs. He plays with the control glyph and lots of lucky hit tempers to stun or freeze. Have to try your build to figure out, what fits me the best. :) But it seems yours is definetly better when it comes to pit pushing and tormented bosses. :D

Edit: I am wondering though, you could get so much more dmg out of adept (~40% mastery skill dmg, if you´d used all of the int nodes around the glyph) - why drop this HUGE boost? Would only be 5 points adjusted. I´ll try this soon and see, where i can drop some other points (e.g. the cold resistance on frigid fate, would already be 2 points.)

Dame sorceress damage on bosses this season is absolute trash . I'm using frozen orb it's amazing on the regular mobs and even elites but bosses forget it
This. There's no good build out there for boss dps for sorcs that I'm aware of. I'm just playing like a support, trying to build stagger and rez when needed.
Better off speed farming 10M and pay a barb to one shot it for you loll

How is this sorc making enemys vulnerable? Exploit is different for sorc apparently and doesnt make enemies vuln??
it's great but at some point my dmg seems to be fading a lot... It's was especially anoying with pit bosses that took forever to kill. My hit's are like almost all crits but for 100k and I see you goign for a lot more hope i'll find what i'm missing here...

Fun build. Melts mobs in seconds but borrowing from you on another sorc build, takes 5-10 business days to kill bosses. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hope they buff sorc in general :( tried rogue and barb and the damage is not even comparable.
lightning spears from unstable currents dont give barrier anymore, same with other procs, and same with teleport enchantment :(

You don't need Starless Skies to play this. Just temper on your gear - chance for ball lighting to cast twice. Note - this is not a lucky hit affect.

Meanwhile, I am just sitting over here, slowly working on trying to make the best possible Incinerate build that I can. I probably won't be able to go very far with it, but that is OK. I'm just a bit worried that I wouldn't be happy playing one of these hyper-mobile melee range assign-main-skill-to-scroll-wheel-to-save-my-fingers builds.
Can you please try Uber lilith with it? i completly get roasted with it, i have eveery of the aspects/skills/gear, only the masterworks are different/not there, and i cant even get past her first stage

Any build that requires a unique to be viable seems pretty worthless in season 4.
I got a 925 Tal Rashas, and after masterworking to level 4, its still no where near comparible to a tempered 850 ring with two great affixes and no masterworking.
The aspect from Tal Rasha's doesnt seem worth the sacrifice of 45% Damage 130 Intelligence.
Am I missing something?

Reading what they do doesn't seem like they are any good. But put them on bar (Summoned ice blades) and enchant slot and watch your cool downs. You are welcome!

has anyone else seen the devs response to the sorc broken affixes and broken Nodes, the devs have replied to a few of us on the matter and they said sorc is working as intended and that theres nothing wrong with the nodes or affixes. when all the testing players have done proves it isnt working blizzard says it is fine on there end they said they tested it multiple times. so dont look for sorc to get much better. theres 100s if not thousands of people complaining about it but blizzard said its fine on there end. it sucks because if i want to push higher tiers i cant use my favoret class i can but the boss fights and ubers are a pain to do everything else is a blast on sorc .
@RageGamingVideos i did see someone killing bosses very fast with fire bolt - 10 sec or something (tormented ones), do u dare to replicate?

Dude im playing a burn build with Hydra stack. Use incin and Hydra aspects. Go full burn paragons.

what exactly solves mana problem?
Starless is the main mana solver, but if you mean aside from that you're mainly going to want to run res generation on your jewelry, and if you don't have starless you'll need to run a res aspect. I used tibaults to help a bit, as well as make sure you're running around picking up energy as you cast. Without starless though you won't quite be able to get the same amount of balls out.
What is better the blizzard or ball lightning
Imo with 2 lvl 100's and most gear, I think blizzard hits much harder. Ball is more fun, and I think it has better potential.
Maybe an immortal ball lighting build?
