When you got to 350km/h or 351 you have to tap the acceleration button on your psp and it hold that speed instead of slowing down to 348km/h. That consistent 350 will propel you far away from the rest of those F1's.
I had extreme difficulty racing this beast around nurburgring i even played around with over/understeer and a bunch of others i still couldn't complete a clean lap lol
Yeah this Polyphony car is terrible and horrendously slower compared to the F2007 (it's at least 2 seconds down the F2007 when tested in Suzuka) understeers like crazy on corner entry and it's grip is terrible resulting in it driving like a Ferrari F2012 with it's limbs cut off. In Niki Lauda's words "It's a Sh*tbox!"
This car also got nerfed BADLY. They decreased the Downforce on both the front and rear, hurting its turning performance. It was buffed in GT5, though it still isn't as good as it was in GT4.
As far as I know, the stats are the same, but the steering in this game is smoothed out making it impossible to do quick steering inputs making this car to really hard to use. They did this because precise inputs on a really small analog stick would be hard, and the smoothing of the steering helps with that. Another thing affecting this is the game reducing how far you can actually steer as your speed increases (even with all driving assists turned off). This is great for other vehicles as it keeps you from spinning out, but it also makes this vehicle hard as fuck to turn.

This car was so bad (from my experience in the PSP version) its at least 2 seconds down on average compared to the F2007, it understeers like crazy on corner entry and the grip is also literal ass-cheeks compared to the F2007, this car's only saving grace is a fast straight line speed which honestly can almost be matched by the F2007. It's quite embarassing considering that the the polyphony formula car is supposed to be an unrestricted version of an F1 car.
But the Bugatti can't take corners nowhere near as fast as this car. In a proper race, the Formula GT would whoop the Bugatti. Besides, the Formula GT is only the second most expensive car in the game.

The engine sound is better than GT4
The sound actually makes the car sound like an F1 car. I think they used a BMW Sauber F1 car for the sounds of this car after GT4.

I think they changed it to a v8 from this game onward. Idk, its had that sound since this game.
