In Canada we've had it for almost 10 years. For credit cards, you insert your chip, select ok, type in your pin and you're on your way. Really simple and quick!
The front loaders are notorious for getting torn front door gaskets. My parents just got a new washer because the gasket ripped, flooding water everywhere, and it was still under warranty...less than a year old.
We had over 2,000 dollars of damages from our washer dumping gallons of into our walls and didn't know it.... Sucks. Replaced trim, tile and dry wall after it was fixed. Feel the pain and announce on that one.
In Australia, the chip is used for PayWave. PayWave is where you wave the chip in front of the EFOPS machine and the machine recognises it and your payment automatically goes through :)
Most places, especially in London, just use contactless now. You just tap your card on the machine... or you can even use apple pay where you tap your phone! It's crazy! We haven't had the signing thing for like 10 years I swear
We had the same thing, in our situation it was the drain pipe hitting a junction where it went from a 2" pipe to a 1" pipe. The plumber had jerry-rigged a rubberized coupler to bring them together and it had gotten stopped up. Had to cut a hole in both sides of the wall before I found the right spot. Now have access panels on both sides in case there a further issues.
+Mike McClure Access panels are a great idea! The wall that has the issue is pretty old and damaged, I think I'm going to replace the entire wall when I tear into it.
I live in Orlando and Disney is about 45 mins to an hour away. Lots of tolls too. Depending on where you work and schools for kids, etc- a realtor is your best bet. Good advice Tim.
In Canada the most popular way to use our credit and debit cards is tap - we just tap our cards on the machines and away we go. We also have the option to insert the chip and put your pin but that just takes longer
Nashville is like that too. Super spread out and in a very illogical manner. Also our roads change name while you're still on them. Then go back to the name they had when you started. It's crazy.
We've been using the chip and pin cards for some time here in Canada. Like others have said, now it's tap and pay. I was surprised that you guys still swipe your cards when we were there in 2014.
Chip and Pin cards in our So CA Target we have been using. In the beginning you just slide your card in and leave it. Now you need to put in some imfo.
In regards to driving, I recently moved to Kissimmee, Florida & we are only 11 miles south of Magic Kingdom. I worked in downtown Orlando & took I-4 to & from work & it took me anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours to get home.
chip and pin is pretty easy once you get going just remember to cover as you type in your passkey/password.my mum used to give me a red envelope. red and gold are colours of the new year (lucky colours). I hope there isn't a water build up in your wall! also sometimes because of spin cycles and vibrations things can come a little loose (at least thats what happened to my mums)
Hey guys just wanted to comment on the washer situation. Sounds like your drain hose might be cracked or rotted. Before you rip out wall check that... lol Great show BTW!
I like how you talk about eating all of that candy with the elliptical behind you. Ha! I'd be the same way. I would just eat it while I'm exercising. :)
We have chip and pin for 5 years+. Like others have said now we have tap and go. Where you can just tap your card to the machine and go. No pin or signature required. I believe it's for purchase under $50 with Debit and under $100 with Credit cards. And sometimes it will ask you for your pin. Just to check it's you.
Moving from the US to Denmark it was strange when I had to use the chip and pin card the first time, but after the second time it was a snap and so much safer to use. They recently have introuduced 'contactless cards' for purchases under a certain amount which I don't trust in the least.
Mmmmm. Milk and whit chocolate combined. There are a lot of types and flavors of Kit-Kats out there. Some other countries have a million flavors and some really interesting ones.
If you don't use the chip. Sometimes stores disable that feature. Mine did that during Christmas because it takes too long to process customers transactions. If the chip and scan is turned off you just swipe your card normally
I found it so strange when I visited that you guys don't have chip and pin, we're usually behind you guys with these sort of things! I find it so much easier as the only person that handles your card is you, you don't have to pass it over to anyone!
We have had the chip and pin here for debit and credit in Canada for a long time now. We also have those kit kats at our local supermarket. Haven't had one though.
That's so weird how the washer is only leaking during a certain cycle. I know keeping up with something that's leaking is a pain. I hope you are able to get it fixed. It is better than when my toilet overflowed the other day. The strangest part, was that it did it for no obvious reason. It just flushed before that fine, and there was barely anything in it. It just randomly got high and flooded everywhere. It even went under the bathroom door. Then it went down and was flushing normally again. ????????
+TheTimTracker I'm not sure. Even before the technology was widely implemented, the machines could process the cards via chips before chip cards were popular in North American...mostly because the debit/credit machines came from Europe...who adopted the method forever ago. But why it took so long to be adopted in North America is beyond me. When I go to Florida, I alway forget about the lack of chip card acceptance. Last year I went to a little Belgian style chocolate store in Clearmont near the Publix at Golden Eagle village, my credit card number was stolen as I swiped my visa (as chip function was not available.) I was told by visa that credit card info is almost impossible to obtain using chip technology vs the swiping method. That was their pro tip haha.
Hey Tim, I think I have the same model of Samsung washer. Have you drained the reservoir that's located on the front of the machine? If not it can become clogged and cause water to leak.
Hey guys! I live in Orlando as well and me and my boyfriend love your videos. But besides that we noticed you love pasta as much as us. You should take a trip to the world market and pick up some pasta and sauce. They have a huge selection. It's fun and easy and authentic. :) peace & love
I am Chinese and typically during Chinese New Year you get an orange and a red envelope per member of the family. If the person you are getting it from is married then you get two red envelopes.
Went to Europe in December last year and the only time I really used my US-based debit card was at an ATM to get Euros because it was SO confusing trying to buy things with my card...and my bank sent me a chip and pin card before my trip!
When I moved to the US I was so confused that there was no chip and pin. For one of the richest countries in the world, we're so far behind the times here haha. Every time I go back to the UK, my card has no chip so I have to sign for everything and the cashiers give me the weirdest look 😂😂
Even credit cards in the UK only use pin no signature required. Was surprised when we visited new york in january how many chip and pin machines there where but weren't in use
omg the chips drive me crazy, im always stuck behind the person that pulls their card out before its done... i still have yet to get any chip card replacements... about living in Orlando, it is massive, heck disney property is massive, go the wrong way and your on a 30 minute deture.
Worst thing in the world is to find a leak and not be able to figure out where it is ACTUALLY coming from!!! Have this problem with the dishwasher LOTS!
I wonder if you can go on the Kit-Kat website or get in touch with the company or something to buy some of the different flavors they have in other countries.?
it may be your vent pipe up on the roof. it let draining water flow faster. leaves sometimes get in mine and i pour acid down it to eat out the junk so air can flow. just my idea. thx for the vids keep it up.... p.s. congrazts on the 500k subs you guys r the best
+dozer762 sulfuric acid is what i used but some say not to. you can snake the roof vent pipe too. do your sinks ever gurgle when they drain? maybe the problem. hope i helped. cheers
+dozer762 Thanks! I'm still not sure it was the pipe overflowing, or draining slow. There wasn't any water on the outside of the pipes, just on the ground.
hey tim check where the drain pipe that the drain hose runs into and make sure its not cracked at foundation level.that would explain seapage and weeping..
Tim....... you almost said my last name when you were thinking up the plural for Moose. The last one you said is normally how people mistakenly pronounce my last name. lol
Awesome vlog!! Can you guys please, tell me the name of that frozen pizza you love? I'll be coming to disney world again in may to work as a cast member, in a international program, and that pizza can be a life saver for a CM!! hahaha! Hope to spot you there soon! Bye from Brazil! :)
In the UK we don't sign anything. Credit or Debit card, you put card in machine, like a card reader, put in pin, then it either accepts or declines. When I was in New York, they had the swipe card, put in pin, then you signed, very strange to us, as cashier would swipe card then give you it back, so when signing they have nothing to compare it to.
All I know about Orlando is avoid the I-4 if you can haha, my friend lived there and tried to take only streets. Also, down in Miami, Fl many places are Chip only now, even though the machines still have a place to swipe...I don't get it.
Here in D.C you can use the chip almost anywhere. I made the mistake of getting one cause they take a long time to use. You basically pit in in a slot T the bottom of a pin pad and wait about 20-30 seconds for authorization. Don't get one!
Jenn, I notice that you like to "mess" with you hair a lot, but it always looks so pretty, shiny and healthy! What do you do to keep it that way? Do you use any specific product?
Our washer did the same thing a while back and I discovered the problem was the drain hose had slipped just a bit in the drain pipe and it caused just enough splash back to make a puddle.
I'm from Canada, and I have never seen those Kit Kat bars before. Would like to know where he got them from. They were wrapped the way our bars use to be years ago. They changed the wrapping to look like US ones years ago. Also chip cards have been used up here for years. The new thing is tap with debt and credit cards to make your payments.
All of my new credit/debit cards has the chip in it. It was annoying at first, having to swipe then insert but whatever is best for security purpose is fine by me.
weve had the chip and pin in canada for many years, its weird its just starting i the states, but we also have been able to pay with debit vards every where in canada for 20 years and when i go to the states there is still tons of stores that only take credit card or cash no debit, weird
Chip and pin? eh? That disappeared a while ago in the UK it's all contactless now Tim. You go to a machine, touch it with your card and that's it, you can also do it with your mobile. Do you have peanut butter kitkat in the US? we have dark chocolate, mint, white chocolate, orange, quite a few. +MsDiz N Dang!!! I'll have to inspect the front gasket! Thanks!
We had over 2,000 dollars of damages from our washer dumping gallons of into our walls and didn't know it.... Sucks. Replaced trim, tile and dry wall after it was fixed. Feel the pain and announce on that one.
I'm going to blow your mind...we now use contactless card payment more than anything! So easy and time saving
I belong to a few Disney Facebook groups and your UA-cam channel comes up a lot as people's favorite Disney vloggers.
+RNY Simmons Awesome!!!
In Australia, the chip is used for PayWave. PayWave is where you wave the chip in front of the EFOPS machine and the machine recognises it and your payment automatically goes through :)

I enjoyed living in Winter Park and Casselberry. Those were good areas.
Love the WP. Casselberry is hit or miss. It started going down hill
Yeah swiping my card over using chip and pin caught me off guard when I came to Orlando 😁

Sounds right! Our traffic is awful here
chip and pin is pretty easy once you get going just remember to cover as you type in your passkey/password.my mum used to give me a red envelope. red and gold are colours of the new year (lucky colours). I hope there isn't a water build up in your wall! also sometimes because of spin cycles and vibrations things can come a little loose (at least thats what happened to my mums)

We had the same washer and it means that on the front bottom the hose needs drained out we had the same problem and it helps
We might be going to florida this December 23rd! If we do, i really hope i see you and jenn! we would be there for 2 weeks, so

Here in the UK we have white, dark, orange, mint and peanut butter kit Kats
Love your videos guys!!!
I feel the same way all the time. ^i need to do something so bad, but I just got home from doing something yesterday.^ happens all the time
+MrColinRiddle It's a vicious cycle, but at least it's fun! :-)
We've been using Chip and Pin here in Canada for years as well
If you still have some cardboard left, sit machine on that and it will mark where any water comes out. Did that with an oil leak from car once.
The KitKats are similar to the cookies & creme ones we have here in the UK

Plural of moose should totally be meese because goose is geese!
+Erika That totally makes sense!
wow, we have had chip and pin for like 10 years in Sweden. I did not know there were other ways ;D
If the person you are getting it from is married then you get two red envelopes.
that's pretty cool tim
We have been doing the chip for quite a while here in Massachusetts
the slot is for a red envelope filled with money which for the lunar new year
chip and pin is old now! we now have contactless where we just touch our card on the screen, no need to type pin in. only for up to £20 though.
Ok so I think Tim was playing a game with our eyes because it went the fan art to a calendar to then no calender😂
Went to Europe in December last year and the only time I really used my US-based debit card was at an ATM to get Euros because it was SO confusing trying to buy things with my card...and my bank sent me a chip and pin card before my trip!

RFID chips are in your MagicBands, credit cards and soon your body--- que the X-Files music.
we use Chip and pin in the UK and it helps with fraud but has definitely not stopped it altogether I have had my card cloned a few times!
Even credit cards in the UK only use pin no signature required. Was surprised when we visited new york in january how many chip and pin machines there where but weren't in use
we have machines now that instead of putting your pin in. you just place your card on the top (up to a limit)
I've tried the Canadian candy and they are amazing
A lot of places in the US use the chip reader. Walgreens is one
+Grayson Brewer Indeed, but it does boggle my mind that I still haven't used it yet! It was supposed to be the nation wide standard back in October.
still loving your videos too :-)
Maybe try a NeatDesk scanner to help with that pile of receipts?
It's probably your drain hose to the pump.
omg the chips drive me crazy, im always stuck behind the person that pulls their card out before its done... i still have yet to get any chip card replacements... about living in Orlando, it is massive, heck disney property is massive, go the wrong way and your on a 30 minute deture.
I tell friends from out of state that I live in Miami even though I'm closer to Ft Lauderdale. Its just easier geographically to call it Miami.
Worst thing in the world is to find a leak and not be able to figure out where it is ACTUALLY coming from!!! Have this problem with the dishwasher LOTS!

We did receive our new cards around October
maybe a pin hole in the drain hose.
one time we were washing our close and the water was coming out of the toilet instead of the washing thing
That happened to me when I lived in the Boston area. Not cool
hey tim check where the drain pipe that the drain hose runs into and make sure its not cracked at foundation level.that would explain seapage and weeping..
I want to live in either winter park or ormond beach Florida I been looking I been coming down there alot and I fell in love with central Florida
Both really nice
Tim....... you almost said my last name when you were thinking up the plural for Moose.
+Helena Guerios It is called Home Run Inn
Hey tim im from Maine and the plural for moose is just moose
you guys should just put a new battery in homer already lol

We had some leak , ours was in the wall ---
I absolutely hate my chip cards, it takes much longer than swiping.
At certain stores you can tap and pay that I think goes faster than inserting your card
i think it's meese!
like geese/goose
meese/moose
Check your washing machine drain! UA-cam is full of how to unblock the drain.
Here in D.C you can use the chip almost anywhere. I made the mistake of getting one cause they take a long time to use. You basically pit in in a slot T the bottom of a pin pad and wait about 20-30 seconds for authorization. Don't get one!
+Bob Bob You might be forced to get one soon, I'm fairly certain it is law now.
Jenn, I notice that you like to "mess" with you hair a lot, but it always looks so pretty, shiny and healthy! What do you do to keep it that way? Do you use any specific product?
For the ad did you guys get the Hershey's one because it is so cute
Amazing :3
Our washer did the same thing a while back and I discovered the problem was the drain hose had slipped just a bit in the drain pipe and it caused just enough splash back to make a puddle.
i think it's moosen. haha thats what me & my sis have always said. :D
That wrapping is UK style. We still have that type of wrapping
Snake the drain and check drain connection on the back if the washer. Sometimes they clamp will work loose.
All of my new credit/debit cards has the chip in it. It was annoying at first, having to swipe then insert but whatever is best for security purpose is fine by me.
+Charmaine Jackson Agreed! I'll take as much security as I can get!
its a thing in wisconsin
If you're moving to Orlando I'd stay away from where Casey Anthony lives
Another great vid, what's your top 3 UK chocolates. Here in the UK for a limited time they opened a creme egg cafe
🐈💚🐈😊
You stick a red envelope with cash in it
+Grayson Brewer Awesome! Sounds like a fun way to get cash! With candy!!!
In Canada the tap option is available most places and I love it. I get really annoyed when I have to use chip and pin now!
If you have a cost plus world market in Florida they have a bunch of foreign candies. (:
weve had the chip and pin in canada for many years, its weird its just starting i the states, but we also have been able to pay with debit vards every where in canada for 20 years and when i go to the states there is still tons of stores that only take credit card or cash no debit, weird
you can pay using your iPhone too over here in the uk, I'm unsure if you can over there though
Some places we can 😊
Most phones can be used to tap and pay here in the US
agh okay, we've only recently began using it in the past year or so
+Will Morgan Yup, we can do that here too; but not too many places accept it.
I use a chip and pin card! I usually use it at Target...And quick question, do you use Apple Pay.
They recently opened a Reeses shop near me, i need to go there every day but it is so expensive! :(
It didn't disappear 😂😂😂
you can only do contactless for like 30 quid and under I think. We need chip and pin here though..I feel like I'm going back in time.
Contactless is only up to a certain value I believe ? Here in Ireland it's anything €35 and below can be paid via contactless transaction. Anything after you still have to insert your card
Does Nestle make kit kat here in the US?
