You know Tharun and everyone else reading this, the past 6 months of my life have been quite weird, I lost all motivation to study (literally drowning in distractions), didn't even study properly for the boards, gave jee without studying still qualified. I thought who cares about JEE anyway, I thought I would qualify Bits in the month gap for the second attempt and get cs in any one of the three bits ( and then continue with life and explore my passions (film production, gaming, streaming etc whatever)) but obviously if you haven't studied for a great while its difficult to get back into it again. So in Bitsat 2nd attempt, even tho my score increased by like 50-60 marks (as compared to first attempt), I 100% will not get cs in any of the 3. After all of this I did get back to studying properly for advance, but I knew even if I did get selected, it would be at a low rank and that would not satisfy my urge to excel. Other than this I was getting admission in good pvt colleges but their high fees and high student intake didn't sit well with me. So I took a day off and thought about what I really wanted to do in life (we are ignoring the fact that I spoke to like 50000 people regarding this, be it family members who are IITans, non IITans and non family members), it turns out I really want to go to IIT BOMBAY. So here we are currently, I've decided to take a drop and change my life, and yes I literally mean change my life, not just academically but non - academically too ( developing all the good habits which are gonna help me later in life). I've already stopped giving time to my hobbies, have totally cut myself from social - media and am just focusing on studying for the next 7-8-9 months. [Yes I'm writing this in the 20-30 mins of youtube I allow myself everyday] It has already been 15 days since the start and I dont regret a second of it, I'll be back one year later, to comment on this video when I'll be in IIT BOMBAY. PS. If anyone has any "GYAN" to give, please keep it to yourself and don't waste your time typing it in the comments. I've thought about this decision through and have made my choice.
