Came into the match with 0 expectations for Fed but boy did he start well. It was so close to being one of the best sets i have seen him play and would have been a confidence booster as the winner of the first set between these two generally wins but even if he won first set, i wouldnt have expected a win. I'm not a fan of Djokovic, partly because I admire, but don't like his style of play. I prefer Federer's style of play, and am an even bigger fan of the power hitters with the "wow" shots who take risks; my favourite being Wawrinka. However, the facts speak for themselves; Djokovic and not Federer should be being lauded as the GOAT. While Federer has won more grand slams, what's usually overlooked (possibly deliberately) is WHEN he won them. He won most of them (13 out of 20) before Djokovic had turned 21, so when Djokovic was either not even on the scene, or not near his peak yet .A better comparison is what has happened since 2010 - when Djokovic was 22 and Federer 28. Since then, even though still in his prime, Federer's wins have largely dried up whenever Djokvoic has been healthy. Djokovic has won 15 slams, and Federer only 5, 3 of which were when Djokovic had that elbow injury which required surgery. Other statistics that support Djokovic as GOAT include his superior head to head record with Federer and longer length of time at no 1.

Why don't the tennis commentators announce the records of the players like boxing does.
We know that the tournament organisers are biased against Djokovic, but at least have some decency and respect to address the player as he enters the court as "the defending champion Novak Djokovic". He's not a qualifier ffs.
