I think you did a great job reviewing this guitar! Keeping it light while doing a great job showing its abilities. As I began watching, I wondered if you would give a surf homage on this guitar and you didn't let me down! After watching this video, I would definitely buy one......except that I already bought one.
This is a really fun video. You just seem to have fun with the guitar while making great sound test. I have this Enya X4pro (also a Go Sp1) and I really enjoy it. Thanks a lot.
Ryan, I believe You forgot to mention that it does not need to be plugged in to use the Effects. That is the best part of playing this guitar acoustically.
holy hell how did I miss that? the guitar didnt come with any paperwork or manuals lol. I never would have thought to look for that. Im going to have to do a follow up now.
The rightness of graphitness! I've had a Rainsong guitar for several years, and love it. It sounds great, acoustically and on the piezo and is completely indestructible!
Very much looking forward to watching your review of this, despite me already owning (and loving) an X4 Pro, myself. Will return to comment afterwards, as well, but this much up front: This guitar is, to my ears, the best-sounding of all the carbon-fiber guitars I have heard in tons of reviews or tried myself. I love it as much as much go-to (wooden) Yamaha acoustic. However, folks should be warned that it isn‘t really „carbon-fiber“, at least except for the top. And it does change tuning when exposed to cold or heat/sun - something carbon-fiber guitars supposedly don‘t do. But frankly that doesn‘t bother me much, since I‘d rather take the Enya out camping in my van or in rotten weather or at a campfire than my wooden guitars. And the sound is in no way compromised, neither unplugged nor plugged in. I even intend to use it for live performances. Nough said, for now. Now on to watching the video…. ;-)
I own one of these and gigged with it for the first time last weekend through two Harbinger ML900 line arrays plus a Behringer subwoofer for a 3 hour gig for 30 - 50 people outside. First thing I noticed was how easy it was to get a warm but clear and as you mentioned, balanced sound going. Just a joy to play, very responsive to notes/strings I emphasized rather than having to adjust my playing to its tonal qualities. As someone who plays a mix of heavy strummed folk rock like Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls, but also writes a lot of finger-picked world style songs, too, I think this guitar really shines doing either. I did need to adjust the truss rod when I got it for action and intonation but guitar stayed in tune very well during gig and I was very happy with intonation all along the neck and when using a capo. There is no pickguard and the coating on the top is a soft glossy material so now I have whitish scratches that distract from the carbon fiber pattern that I'll be covering up with an aftermarket adhesive pickguard. Also - the volume knob can move easily when strumming or otherwise moving your arm so you'll want to be mindful of that. Thanks for the vid - I had fun watching!
I bought one of these a year ago. I love this guitar, and with the built in effects it is very inspiring to play acoustically. I rarely play any of my other 15 acoustics anymore and a couple of those cost double to triple what this guitar does. And being carbon fiber I don't worry about taking it outside to play no matter what the weather is.
For anyone interested in ukuleles I got my mom an Enya ukulele (mad-eut model) and it's by far the nicest ukulele I've ever played. It was a little pricey for a uke ($180 I think) but it's beautifully well made.
Decent guitar package there…the Mic blend really help the sound. I wonder how these Enya models compare to the LAVA ME 3 guitars? they have more onboard effects , recording etc… for about $150;more. Good demo. Ps : I LIKE THE JOHNNY CASH VOICE ON Every Rose!
Agree with you re: Enya mic blend feature. Takes live tone from good to great with it at about 50 percent. More than that onstage in front of speakers and you risk feedback.
I own a McPherson Sable, and gotta say, from the first G chord I played, I was in love. It sounds like a piano. No lie. This Enya is pretty awesome! Especially for the price
I agree with others that the offset circle looks dumb. I just bought the Enya X3 Mini for my son’s birthday. He loves it❤️ Reason, Northern Michigan weather is hard on wood and my son travels a lot. UNDER $400 😃
Can't say I have much interest in acoustic or carbon fiber guitars, but you made such an evocative thumbnail face that I just had to click on the video. Glad I did though, pretty interesting guitar -- and it sounded good without a single toanwood!
I would accept this for what it is...carbon fiber. I would not expect it to sound like my wooden acoustic Art&Lutherie guitar. Much like I don't expect my Harmony Comet to sound like my Les Paul or Strat Plus. It sounds different and I like it. Good video.
i've never liked that direct acoustic electric sound. having the mic blend totally sounds good to me, but i could see potential feedback issues with that in a live amplified setting... i'm not a big acoustic person, 1 is enough for me these days....but this seems cool.
Agree with you re: Enya mic blend feature. Takes live tone from good to great with it at about 50 percent. More than that onstage in front of speakers and you risk feedback.
Really not a bad sounding guitar for the price, especially with all the effects. I am wondering if I would rather have the Enya Nexg. It's got more features. The X4 is definitely a better looking guitar.
Sounds good to me. I'm not in the market for a $900 acoustic, but I wouldn't call the price unreasonable. Some light shopping around shows higher priced options.
I recently played a friend's Rainsong (I looked it up, expen$ive!), it's nice. I'd like to see you play one and compare to this, see if you think the Rainsong is worth the extra money.
I don’t think this is the same guitar Phil reviewed. I’m definitely looking for an inexpensive carbon fiber guitar that plays well because my nicer guitars aren’t so great for outdoor gigs lower than 60’s or higher than 80’s.
Not sure about the actual mic placement but it looks as if you were mic-ing the sound-hole, (a no-no). Which is why it did not get a realistic version of the acoustic sound.
Too rich for my blood but I like it. If Enya is sending you things, try to get the thin body les paul shaped cardon fiber composite acoustic electric from them. It's only about $200.
Judging it based on how it compares to a wooden instrument seems... incomplete: worth mentioning for a point of reference but otherwise limited. Lots of pissing and moaning in the comments, it's just another option, and there's a place for every sound in an arrangement if you're a good musician. This thing could fill interesting places in a mix or arrangement. Let's not poo poo its differences.
Battery is removable/replaceable. With some patience the whole control box can be removed if needed, although if you or someone you know has small hands you could do it without removing. I actually had to replace the usb c port on mine after my daughter ripped it off the stand while plugged in. That waa considerably more annoying, but doable.
I've never been able to do anything with these plastic guitars. Even if it is carbon - to me it sounds like plastic. And not putting the sound hole in the middle is not innovative, it's ugly. But that's just my personal opinion
In theory they sound good but in real life they sound absolutely terrible They are tin cans Tin canson should make his ibanez tin canson custom out of carbon to even further enhance the can sound
Man you’re an imbecile , look too old for tried to be a clown focus on the review be more precise and loose the monkeybussines you’re really annoying
First time here? - steve
And last for sure…
K, bye - steve
If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all.

You can tell how much you’re enjoying playing it. Thats definitely an intangible that speaks for the guitar a lot

what do you mean?
holy hell how did I miss that? the guitar didnt come with any paperwork or manuals lol. I never would have thought to look for that. Im going to have to do a follow up now.
No it doesn't. It plays acoustically with the effects.
@@60CycleHumcastdefinitely need a follow-up on that!
I have no desire to own this guitar, but I smiled a lot while watching the demo. I enjoyed watching you have fun. Yes, this is a good video!

This is a great video. Love all the 90s references. That guitar sounds great!

Decent for the price. Playable neck and a nice voice is tick my boxes. I literally can not buy any more guitars. I went from two to five in 2 months 😄
I own a McPherson Sable, and gotta say, from the first G chord I played, I was in love. It sounds like a piano.
No lie.
This Enya is pretty awesome!
Especially for the price
0:50 I've watched several video reviews of this guitar. This has been the most informative for me.
After posting this comment, I ordered one.
I agree with others that the offset circle looks dumb. I just bought the Enya X3 Mini for my son’s birthday. He loves it❤️ Reason, Northern Michigan weather is hard on wood and my son travels a lot. UNDER $400 😃
Wow great review i got mine coming. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Sweet review, and I want one that thing looks fun. Thanks on the review

I have one, it's a fun guitar and good for gigging when you want to leave the expensive Martin or Gibson at home.
I Really, Really want one of these.

My wife bought it for me for my birthday, it is a great guitar for the Price.
if you're testing delay, play 2112 Overture! So fun to play too
that case is very classy! looks like a piano. I don't like having fancy cases, it makes me feel bad
You could play a gig in the rain and not worry about warping. I like
take an angle grinder and relic it Ryan, that would be good practise for when you relic your dakota red Jazzmaster! cheers matey : )
I recently played a friend's Rainsong (I looked it up, expen$ive!), it's nice. I'd like to see you play one and compare to this, see if you think the Rainsong is worth the extra money.
Starting at 1:20, the exact tone out of box of “I’ll remember you” by Skid Row 😂
You need to check out a Blue Lava Touch Gutiar it Helps you Learn to play plus has a looper!!!

So-you can also plug these into an Amp, right??
Not sure about the actual mic placement but it looks as if you were mic-ing the sound-hole, (a no-no). Which is why it did not get a realistic version of the acoustic sound.
How the hell do you get the battery out for airline travel?
it's a building battery so no way to remove the battery but to disassemble the electricity system
Too rich for my blood but I like it. If Enya is sending you things, try to get the thin body les paul shaped cardon fiber composite acoustic electric from them. It's only about $200.
$719 on June 18, 2023...
Reviews an Enya guitar. Doesn't play Orinoco Flow. Unsubbed.
😂
Я играю больше боем. Подойдет ли эта гитара для такого стиля игры?
Does the x4 pro mini have a floating fretboard??
bought might and came 1 week later ❤

For some reason, it sounds a little overdriven. But other videos I've seen didn't sound that way.
How would you even replace the battery when it dies and you can’t charge it anymore
Battery is removable/replaceable. With some patience the whole control box can be removed if needed, although if you or someone you know has small hands you could do it without removing.

sounds nice bra
KING MISSLE!!!!!😆
Put stickers on the case.
Yeah, that case was originally made to carry a machine-gun..😎 ..
b.e.a.utiful
buy this on a layaway sale
For that money, I would rather buy an electric guitar and a modelling amp that models an acoustic guitar.
Disappointed that the case isn’t carbon fiber.
The reverb effects are passable but overall gotta say no thanks.

It looks like patent leather

Cut to the chase. Lose that toy. You need a RainSong 25th anniversary Black Ice & learn The Clap by Steve Howe.
have you try practicing guitar playing lol
Yes
Звук слишком металлический и дребезжащий.
