I remember listening to Peep so much back in late high school/early university when I was in a bad place in life. I used to be able to really relate to his songs and lyrics but I'm happy to say that I don't anymore, but I still listen to him every once in a while with an indescribable proudness of him. I always wonder how he would be today. Now I've got the career I wanted, great friends that I have had since elementary (and stuck with me through my downer personality those years ago), and more. I am so happy to say that I am happy now. I know it sounds cliché, but anyone reading this that thinks they'll always feel terrible, or have nothing going for them- you won't feel like this forever, and you will one day look back on those days with a real respect for yourself.

I got to meet Peep briefly after a show in Seattle in 2017. I felt like one of the oldest people at the venue even though I was in my mid twenties. He was a really sweet and polite kid. It broke my heart that he passed about 3 weeks after that. I quit Xanax the day he passed. shortly after a good friend at the time went to rehab and when she got out we got matching crybaby tattoos. 7 years later I am getting married, have my own company, and am a home owner. recently I was helping a friend get fuel for their boat in BC Canada and the kid working the boat fuel station had the cry baby tattoo in almost the exact same spot as me. Its almost like a bond I had with him right away. we didn't know each other but because of that tattoo we had an understanding and made the experience fun. Liza if you read this, your kid was awesome and such a pleasure to briefly meet. He brightened my day when I needed it, and even after he passed his music helped me process a lot of my life while finding my way. thank you for keeping his legacy alive.

A year ago I fell in love with a girl who adored lil peep as much as I did. I must say although it's just music this music has brought so many people together and has saved so many people including myself.
