I had to finally say something about how Peep's music affects me. I'm an adult male, 48 years old, and I love Lil Peep's music. I find his death incredibly sad and tragic. He was so young, yet in such a short amount of time he created a substantial amount of music. He seemed to have an innate sense of the hook and could record a song with seemingly little lyrical material but upon hearing it, you couldn't get it out of your head. Like with that 'unreleased' song, Belgium / Hear Me. That song was stuck in my head for weeks and there's really not that much to it. I love how he could do that. Then song's like Crybaby, and Star Shopping where you see him (just my opinion) beginning to mature as a writer. With lines like....."losin your patience / and girl I don't blame you / the Earth's in rotation / you're waitin for me..." with lines like that, and further in..."Look at the sky tonight / all of those stars have a reason / a reason to shine / a reason like mine / and I'm fallin to pieces..." now, of course the beginning of Star Shopping is stellar too. But what I hear in the lines I just quoted is a writer beginning to mature and where up to this point he's had a full command of street language and used current forms of talking to make his hooks and melodies (just off the top of my head, I'm thinking beamer boy and Benz Truck -which are amazing and cool and I love them) but with Star Shopping he begins to incorporate more poetic language, using metaphor to tell us that times passing (maybe running out) while this girl is waiting for him to get his shit together. It's really beautiful and pulls the listener out of the normal skin of cool af acceptable ways of saying stuff we hear all the time. It crushes me cause we'll never get to take that journey with Peep and get to hear what his 25 or 27 year old mind discovered about language and lyrics and how his experiences would no doubt have found their way into his songs. We're forever doomed to only being able to listen to a Lil Peep with the perspective of a nineteen or twenty year old. Not that that's bad, like I said, I fucking love what he gave us, I just want more. I hear the beginnings of it and then the awful news, and now, no more. If anyone reads this all the way through, thanks for letting me ramble. I don't have a lot of people I can talk to about this stuff and it feels good to dump it all out here.

oxy withdrawl is the worst shit ive ever experienced pain wise from drug withdrawls. they say its similar to morph/heroin addiction withdrawls. i can relate to that line 100%. for 4-5 weeks str8 my entire body ached down to the bones. everything ached. absolutely everything...weed was my savior.
Ruby Cherry i had an withdrawal from codein and when i was about to run out i slowly became bipolar and at last i mixed up codeine witj methocarbamol which boost opiates extremely and then i had a extreme withdrawal and my brain got fucked up
dopamine and gaba receptors eventually become fried sadly from these 2 drugs(opiates/benzos) and it just kills our brain chem. im still recovering, i still get prescribed 60-120 pills of 2mg xans but with a side script of gabapentin incase of seizures if i decide to stop. fuck big pharma. i got hooked all cus of a broken ankle from skateboarding and fucked up wrist from football in highschool. i just stick to the good ol herb now usually, even for anxiety.(gotta be a non sativa strain for my anxietty tho lol)

He had a disease. I have the same one. Addiction isn't about being a good or bad person, it's a disease that will kill you if you don't treat it in some way. I see it that way now, but I didn't used to. Until I found myself having lost literally everything but my life due to my opiate addiction. No matter how much I wished I could stop, my brain would keep driving me to use no matter what. And that's when I realized that I truly did have a disease, and that I was very nearly at the precipice of it killing me. And thankfully I was able to get into a medically assisted treatment program and I'm now 7 months sober from heroin and counting. But I'm very lucky that I was able to find the help I have and unfortunately many others don't make it. Anyway, my point is that the biology of Addiction is not a character defect or some sort of flaw in one's will power or morals; it's a disease that needs treatment like any other disease. Peep wasn't a bad person or even "running" with the wrong crowd" per se. He was a young man who had a disease and was in a lot of pain. He wanted that pain to stop but he didn't know how and so he numbed himself. I just hope he's found peace now at least.
