I'm still planning on trying my hand at some small projects but cancer left me with little strength or stamina so it may take me a bit longer to get there. I have collected some railroad spikes and a couple plates too for material to start with. My neighbor has a small anvil he said I can use. Next I need a forge and I've watched a few build videos that seem doable. Maybe before the years over, God willing and the creek don't rise. Thanks for the inspiration! Sometimes
Rust also shields steel from molten aluminium. While not used every weekend, my steel crucible is now 20 years old.
I just like inventing things that makes it easier on me😁
