Tim is all cool, for some crazy reason Utube decided to cut and publish my comment before I was finished! Maybe I was talking about and using that four letter word, work! Made someone uncomfortable! Anyway, casting door hardware, thats insane! As I was saying, a learnt process to install but attention to irregularities is needed because is not that easy to get right but very easy to cock up! Hats off man, one day maybe we can spend an afternoon together teaching some hot steel a lesson it wont forget! Forge on, love your work, respect, PAUL

Tim, well, what can I say! Who or what kind of a nut would even think of casting their own lock hardware, a locksmith named Tim would be one ! Its incredible to even think it could be done outside a factory thats producing thousands every day. As a former builder/carpenter I have installed thousands of doors and fitted hardware to the same number. Thats not complicated, just a process that once learnt is repeated over and over paying attention to irregularities and adjusting to

@@BIGDOGFORGE thank you! Some of the channels I really like quit posting over the past year or two, glad you decided to keep putting out videos. In my humble opinion you are top notch. I'm still planning on trying my hand at some small projects but cancer left me with little strength or stamina so it may take me a bit longer to get there. I have collected some railroad spikes and a couple plates too for material to start with. My neighbor has a small anvil he said I can use. Next I need a forge and I've watched a few build videos that seem doable. Maybe before the years over, God willing and the creek don't rise.
Thanks for the inspiration! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
