    Summary
    1. For building home/expand - loan given
    2. 20 years duration
    3. Maximum subsidy - Rs. 2 lakh 65k
    4. Divided into 4 categories.
    - Economically weaker section less than 3 lakh whole family, 6.5 percent subsidy, 6 lakh loan amount only
    - Lower income group (LIG) - same as EWS, max carpet area - 645 sq ft. Max
    A female should be there as co-owner.
    - middle income group (6-12 lakh)
    1700 sq ft max - 4% subsidy, upto 9 lakh loan
    - MIG -2 (12-18 lac) , 2110 sq ft
    Subsidy - 12 lac loan, 3 percent subsidy
    All government banks, housing finance, private banks
    Online apply, till 2022

    Hi,
    Please explain me the meaning of this sentence "Under PMAY, credit subsidy is available for a tenure of 20 years or the actual tenure of the loan, whichever is lower. You can avail a home loan of 30 years tenure, but the subsidy will be calculated only for a 20-year period."
    as banker say i am eligible for home loan which is having 30 years tenure.
    then should i get Benefits under PMAY?
    or is there need to minimize tenure upto 20 year?

    First of all very nicely explained. Nonetheless, did you miss on one thing? I fall under MIG and I am meeting all the eligibility criteria. However bank says that you took loan in FY 2016 and to leverage benefit of it, you should have taken loan from FY 2017. Is this condition also exist?
