Especially in recent years (but even in older kpop music), it's more accessible: song titles in English, artist names mostly in English, a lot of English lyrics in songs etc. Also, I find Japanese music has a lot more restrictions on copyright etc compared to Kpop and for a long time it was impossible to find some jpop music on UA-cam and other internationally preferred platforms (eg: kpop invests heavily on UA-cam which is where most international fans are). You can see this with older groups like Arashi, who have been around for ages but it is really hard to find loads of English subbed, UA-cam content for international fans. Music-wise it's great though!

I first watched this in Animax in 2017. I had no phone by myself then so I recorded it in my Papa's phone. But when I had my phone I kept on searching it in UA-cam. But unfortunately I didn't know the name of the singer, only knew the name of the song. A singer named Aimer's song popped on my recommendations. Her voice kinda resembled to this singer. So I searched but this song finally showed on search results. It's been 2 years now, NOW I found it. I'm full on tears.

The ponytail girl seems really interested in this new girl so she try to befriend with her in a couple times and then they start to hang out together after school but one day they had a fight (I think its about the hickey) so they started to avoid each other and the girls in the class start to bully her maybe because the short hair girl doesnt have a friends or something like that. The sad part is the ponytail girl didnt defend her and the short hair girl had enough. She was really depressed and from our perspective she maybe cut herself or transferred to another school but still in the end the short hair girl was really grateful to be able make those memories with her. I think the short hair girl was being abused but we dont know by who. We can see at the start she had a cast in her arm and then a hickey. Thats how I interpreted and I could be wrong. I wished for a happy ending but whatever.. The song is really great and love her voice!
From experience, I can say the short haired girl had a bandage at the start, not a cast. Just I’m surprised there were no wounds visible later when she didn’t have it on

Already watched and listened to this when it was released years ago, since i'm following the short-haired girl on IG where she said she starred in an MV so i looked for it. I came for her, but i stayed for the song and Mirei's voice. Years passed and i eventually forgotten the song title and the artist, can't look for it on the girl's IG anymore since the account is already deleted (she retired, she used to be a model). Wow so UA-cam is recommending this song now huh? Well i'm glad lol since i've been looking for this for months now! Already watched and listened to this when it was released years ago, since i'm following the short-haired girl on IG where she said she starred in an MV so i looked for it. I came for her, but i stayed for the song and Mirei's voice. Years passed and i eventually forgotten the song title and the artist, can't look for it on the girl's IG anymore since the account is already deleted (she retired, she used to be a model).
