Having her major debut as “MICO “singing in
the electronic pop band “phoenotas”, she
started her solo project “ SHE IS SUMMER “ in April 2016.
June 2016, Her 1st E.P. 「LOVELY FRUSTRATION E.P.」 was released and the lead song “ tobikirino oshareshite wakarebanashiwo"" has shown how girls really feel and gained a lot of attention from people .
Also it has got nearly 2 millions view on UA-cam so far.
July 2017, The 2nd E.P.「Swimming in the Love E.P. 」 was chosen as a TOWER RECORDS recommendation .
In November 2017, her 1st album got third place on the Oricon indies album ranking and the 1 st place on the electronic chart .
As well, She’s going to hold her solo live tour “WATER TOUR” in Tokyo ,Osaka and Nagoya in March this year .
She’s also doing some work in modeling , voice acting and commercial etc.
Recently she appeared in a commercial for the global fashion group “UNIQLO “ and provided the music in it.
She also has a lot of attention as a fashion icon among young people .

2016년 4월부터 “MICO”의 솔로 프로젝트 “SHE IS SUMMER”로 활동을 개시하여 같은 해 8월 1st E.P「LOVELY FRUSTRATION E.P.」 를 발표. 타이틀곡 「とびきりのおしゃれして別れ話を-토비끼리노 오샤레시떼 와까레바나시오」는 UA-cam의 조회수가 200만뷰를 돌파하는 등 리얼한 걸마인드와 독특한 세계관에 동감한 고감도 음악팬들로부터 뜨거운 주목을 받고 있다.
2017년 6월 두번째 E.P. 「Swimming in the Love E.P. 」 릴리스. 타워 레코드의 바이어들이 선택한 주목해야 할 아티스트 ”タワレコメン(타워레코멘)”에 선출되었다. 11월에는 대망의 첫번째 앨범 「WATTER」를 발표, 오리콘 인디즈 차트에서 3위, iTunes 일렉트로 차트에서 1위를 기록.
2018년 3월 동경, 오사카, 나고야 첫 단독라이브 「WATER TOUR」 개최 결정!

It is a privilege. Japan is truly unique.
I've lived here over 5 years, and never once have I thought I might get tired of it or regret living here.
You hear a lot of people complain about Japanese xenophobia, but that is always from the tourists who visit Tokyo or Osaka or the like. The parts of Japan that are not tourists traps are nothing like that.
I live in southern Kumamoto, and I have never once encountered racism here. Everyone is glad to meet me, never been rude or unfriendly to my "half" (now aka "double") kids.
I don't have any plans to ever leave Japan, nor do I miss life in America. I miss some of the food, but that's all. America means too many police, too much conflict, not enough civility, and too many stupid people who flaunt their stupidity.
Japan, REAL Japan, paradise. If you don't agree, get away from Tokyo. Save yourself.
