Omg - you are like the ONLY person that actually stated what "Comping" meant! Thank You!!!!
You're so welcome! Glad it was helpful
That guitar sounds so good! Great info as usual, thx
Can you recommend a video for learning more about roman numeral analysis? Besides 2 5 1, I know very little
Thank you for this! My comping still needs more work. This is a great guide!
Could you please make a video sometime on how pianists and guitarists comp under bass improvisation as well?
the bass solo is when everyone else takes a break dont about it
Helpful outline and demonstration!
Thanks Brent :) Doing really great job here!
I find shell voicing on the guitar very helpful
I could be wrong but the section on Inversions contradicts itself or has some confusion around which exactly is the root. "3rd in the bass for the 7th inversion" - I think you may have got that the wrong way round!
Great video though, really helpful content!
I think he meant 3rd inversion which the 7th in the bass
great video . thanks
What's the name of the Brazilian guitarist you mentioned?
Joao Gilberto
Very neglected are..great session
🦉Everything’s nice and clear except in the ascending off-beat comping exercise the Edim7 should be on the sixth fret, not the 5th. 😉🎵
The most important thing in comping is doing less and be in rhythmical harmony with the soloist especially if it’s bass player
Thank you very much 🔥🔥
Why do you make me tense i feel like there is going be a quiz on this hahaha
Ascending off-beat exercise - your sheet music says Edim7 but the tab fingering shows Ebdim7
Less jazz! Definitely not JAS To much Sweden and outside age constraint
The title is so misleading. This is basic advice and not pro
Very much appreciated
