great video!!. question. everything good so far? i know some people only use the work mileage provided by uber or lyft insted of their own. doing as you are is everything ok? no red flags from the irs? i just started and i wanna just fully understand the tax stuff before filing next year
I got a question. I work for door dash and Im like 25 minutes away from the dashing area and I was wondering can I track my miles from my house going to the doordash area? Or do I start track my miles when I'm in the dashing area?
The problem with using an app... like 'pen & paper' is, REMEMBERING. With either method you MUST remember to have a starting point and ending point.
With Stride Drive I got in the habit of always starting it when I head out. Gotta remember like you said!
What kind of app is free and ok to use for tracking km while doing delivery in canada hurdlr and stride is not available
How do you get the report for 2016 my app is updated and all but does not have my stride button it has export but it's only showing export for 2017. How do I get 2016 for my taxes or do I need to punch it all in and add up on paper
Hey Joseph! I got an email from Stride on 1/4. Said to update my app and then I'll be able to export 2016 mileage. Just tried it and it works! So please update your app if you haven't yet. Please let me know if this works for you!
Is this for EACH job? Or do I turn it on and log all jobs under one drive?
+RockDrummin88 I turn it on when I start my "shift" and turn it off when I come home. It tracks all miles while I'm working. It's not broken up by ride or delivery, which I like, because it keeps it simple. All miles while I have my apps on and I'm working are tax deductible, whether or not I'm on a job at the time. So at the end of a shift where I might work for 8 hours and drive for multiple apps, it'll provide me the total time, total distance, total tax deduction and a map of where I drove for that entire 8-hour period.
I've been driving for about 3 months now and i just began using this app. How can i track all of my past trips? I never logged them.
It would be tough to track past trips. You'd have to find some info on where you went when and the distances
