Hi Tamara, great video. Thank u for sharing. I belong to the camp of people who feel like shooting in lower iso is a way to get sharp pictures and keep the noise down but this video helped me realize that a faster shutter is key to nailing focus and freezing action even at higher iso. Thank you Tamara.
IMHO, outside of the D4s, the D810 is Nikon's best sports camera. 7fps in DX mode w/ the MB-D12, and a buffer that lasts 3-4 times as long as the D750. Couple that w/ a 160mb/s CF card and you have yourself a strong performer.
The Question Which Raw Files are you suggesting in D810 Large 36 or The Small one compared with D850 one with Medium raw file... Second Qn. Three option on Large Raw 36Mp (Lossless compressed/Compressed or noncompressed? From your Experience...Thanks..
I love my D810. Have you done a comparison between the 85mm 1.4 & the 1.8 and if so your thoughts? How about the trinity lenses, 14-24 2.8. Looks better now as Nikon has knocked off $200 :-) I noticed the strobes going off at the start of your video but later they did not go off.
Hi, hawg427 Yes, I've shot with both the 85mm 1.4 and 1.8 lenses - they are both strong options. I stick with the 1.4 for most work but I find the 1.8 is actually faster to focus in low light. Love the 14-24 2.8 - did a lot of travel photography last year with it. You're spot on, great lens. Not sure what you means re: strobes - we shot this using constant lights so no strobes in these shots.
I'm looking to get out of shooting studio strobes and replace with a continuous light source. I can't afford led so florescent seems to be the best option for price. I've experienced with some shop lights. Modifiers are a must so these won't work. Honestly I was not impressed with the power levels either. Your light on the other hand looks controlled and beautiful. I welcome any recommendations you might have on the subject.
Hi, Daniel - it's a shooting style I got into when I first started out and just feels like second nature to me now when shooting single point AF for portraits.
+Bruno Camargo (Beginners Fotografia) the D7100/7200's are great little camera's and honestly for studio prints like in this video those camera's are more than up to the task. I bought a D7100 refurb at Christmas for $479 and the picture quality is superb.

Great video, I also have a D810 and love it!
Thanks, Desi : )
This is a monster camera. I can't see how Nikon could improve on it. They will though. Stunning image quality.

Wasn't this published a couple of weeks ago?
I noticed you didn't use flash for your model ? when the photos changed I didn't know if it was just the preview or if you used strobes.

Good job cutting out the info that was incorrect on the last video.
OK, thank's for the reply. I could have sworn I saw a flash of light. Maybe I'm staring at the computer for too long, LOL
Hah - no worries.
Why did yo lock your focus and recompose?

its not a big upgrade to D 800
I wish I could afford it..:)

No tilt lcd screen, no eye and face detect, nikon is light years behind.
face detect is for amateurs.
"the shutter sounds more professional"...lol
