Talking about that detail. There's one more when Lambert was teasing Geralt about the killing monsters which is the first trailer for the witcher 3. Pretty cool ain't it?
isn't the launch trailer the Geralt's final battle with Orianna? he did say he was coming back for her, and we never got the fight in the game, so i think the trailer for the game was the battle that Geralt wanted. CDPR did a good job completing the entire arc and not leaving anything loose.
lol, funny thing is i didn't even watch the trailer before playing the game and was wondering who sang the song in the game menu. only after i'd completed the game i was asked if i'd seen the trailer and went to watch it but it's no bad; i think it was more fun this way
@@shadow_song For some time I thought the red woman in the back of the B&W Menu screen was Triss waiting for Geralt to come home and Tris was canon. At the time I didn't even know about the books.
Orianna in the trailer is not the same Orianna in the game, otherwise she would be a Bruxa in the game too. The trailer is just for marketing purposes. Most people don't get it.
@@xD3MONxIxSOULx she actually is a bruxa though. She just never reveals her form because why would she? She is trying to hide her true nature after all...
TBH Orianna was never explicitly shown to be a higher vampire in the game...we know she is very ancient and she can easily shapeshift and pass as a human, but we know those traits to be common among bruxae....so nothing forbids that she is a bruxa (meaning a "higher kind of lesser vampire"), but so old and skilled that she can easily pass off as a higher vampire. This would also explain why she was so fierce in protecting her orphanage: unlike higher vampires that see blood as a narcotic substance, lesser vampires actually require blood to survive, and thus she treated the orphanage not like a "wine cellar" to occasionally drink in order to pass time, but (as stated by Geralt) as a "larder for provisions" in order to feed herself
Another mystery that was shown in the video and you ignored in your comment, is the key to the Unseen Elder's cave. I can't imagine a bruxa holding so much in her hands, when she's so 'fragile'. She's either an extremely special bruxa, not just old or a 'higher kind of lesser vampires', or a higher vampire.
And why would the elder give a simple old bruxa the key to his domain - the only one? Why not give it to another vampire of higher standing and not a simple bruxae?
@@Mephanderos Could be countless reasons aside from sheer strengh, like how much time she resided in this particular part of the world, her social position in the human society which; given the strict vampire codex, partly rules out vampires as menace for the elder, etc... Nothing in the whole video permit, as stated by the guy who did the video, to rule out one of the possibility to be true. Even the discussion between Regis and Geralt in this portion of the game is only hinting as the fact Orianna is a Vampire, not to what kind of Vampire she is. Pretty sure she is only a very old Bruxae. It was already established in the game with the old Leshen that the older a lesser Vampire grow, the stronger it gets. That, coupled with her fear of losing her food provision in the Orphanage ( meaning she requires it badly, not just for degustation ), to the trailer of the game, etc... I'm more inclined toward the "Higher Bruxae" theory than the "Higher Vampire" one. Gives her more credit too, by the way... To cohabitate with the likes of Regis, Dettlaff, etc... She is one damn strong and cunning Bruxae.
@@gerardlacroix6015 You're right, honestly. Considering the possibilities again, I don't know why I thought otherwise. The trailer also kinda gives it away & her request to blood so badly. No idea what I thought back then.
Drunk Regis was once killed by angry peasants, staked through the heart, IIRC, even head cut off. Took him some 50 years to heal, dig himself out and become a recovering bloodaholic. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Geralt "killed" Oriana as a temporary punishment for exploiting the children.
@@tilltronje1623 Books and B&W spoiler alert: Vilgefortz "kills" Regis at the end of Lady of The Lake, practically melting him down. Regis later in the dlc tells Geralt that Dethlaff could revive him not without great effort and sacrifice, literally shedding his own blood to save an old friend. So, knowing that we can safely assume Orianna is similarly screwed until another higher vampire comes to help, or at least for a long long time until she can regenerate on her own.
@@tilltronje1623 She didn't actually burn in the sun, it was the Black Blood potion that Geralt drank, vampires in the Witcher Universe don't have sunlight weakness
@@nahuelmat Well getting melted down by a mage and taking some crossbow bolts, silver sword wounds and a little vampire poison (black blood) are not exactly the same so I don’t think Orianna will need *that* much of help and effort recovering as Regis. And I also don’t think her regeneration on herself would take as much time as Regis’ would. Vilgefortz pretty much erased Regis’ existence, there was even no body at all. My boi Regis went through some real shit

@@sebastianb.3978 if you put some attention, even orianna dont "eat" children just "farm" them, also if you put attention to the lore, letters, and books you find in witcher 3 about vampires culture, you will know that they dont eat, people and farm they in cages, even the cages are all over some caves on the game, but I think you just miss that information.
"You know how Orianna starts singing to the scared boy, that same song which she sings during the witcher 3 launch trailer?" Yeah as if I would ever be able to forget that. Making a launch trailer that tells the finale to the story not only before the expansion pack came out, but even the main game. And hardly anyone knew it untill she started singing. And I didn't even see the trailer before first playing that scene. I cannot even imagine the feels of realizing it in that very moment. For these reasons she is among my absolute favourite characters or should I rather say, best written ones. About Orianna beeing a bruxa or a higher vampire....I always asumed that CDPR wasn't entirely sure when they made that trailer and B&W and the vampires were still a work in process. She is a bruxa in the trailer without the slightest doupt (Yet no one ever seems to mention the swarm of birds flying off when Geralts rides for Beauclair). I personally consider her to be a "higher bruxa", if that makes any sense. In a way that she is just a very old bruxa. What you mentioned about the risk of her, as the guardian to the key, dying...well I don't think it is too serious. The vampire codex is extremly strict when it comes to turning against your own kind (As we saw with Regis) so I don't think there is really any threat from their own side. The only serious danger to them would be witchers or mages. And I am pretty sure that 99% of witchers are not gonna mess up with a strong bruxa. Not on purpose and full intention to start a war against them. Mages on the other hand...we don't really have enough canon in that regard to be honest. I would say that most either don't know enough about vampires in the first place, are to weak to challenge them or to scared to take the risks?
I agree with you about Higher Bruxae...in the witcher world, the monster that are Ancient cannot be compare to younger speciment in the case of how dangerous they are. Like for example Leshen, Geralt kinda relief when he identified the young leshen in Velen but grew weary to the Older one in Skellige. Old speciment maybe have some trick or way of life that makes them the foe that cannot be underestimate.
It's not Beuclair he is riding for, it's Novigrad and you can clearly see it. I suggest that Oriana after some time just fled form Beuclair for unseen reasons and ended up near Novigrad. I think because of Geralt's chase. But this whole thing how CDPR connected trailer with game just blows my mind, no quarrel about that.
@@kojoydesu4107 Adding to that. Eskel brings a katakan all the way to Kaer Morhen, because it was faster and stronger. In the autopsy they even conclude that it was an old one and that it would be nice, if they could somehow determine the age of them while tracking. So it is clear to say, that there are definitely variations within a species and older means stronger.
Orianna being a bruxae in the trailer is probs just the result of the initial story draft. She probably was one before in game but as development progressed she became a higher vampire as a character instead and so was changed.
And since Higher vampires seems to be able to shapeshift more or less, it's highly possible that she just decied to just appear as a Bruxae. Or female higher vampires just look like that in their "simpler" beast form, just as Detlaff and Regis grow claws and get a demonic face.
@@Mukation Except she fought and died like a Bruxae. Higher vampires are known to be tough to kill (or maybe requires another high vampires like Regis if i remember well)
She's just an extremely old Bruxae. Many lesser vampires develop more of a consciousness over time + the ability to shape shift into a humanid form. The lore covers this.
LukeSparow I don’t understand. I thought Bruxae were categorized as Higher Vampires. I think the confusion comes down to whatever type of vampire Regis and Detlaff are is just referred to as “Higher Vampire” instead of an actual name.
Dont complicate things dude... she was a bruxae ... whats the difference tho? All of them vampires just need a dose of black blood, some moondust and vampire oil.
CDPR's work is so deep. 5 years later witcher 3 is still going on fantastically. I doubt everyone knows everything about the game. Can't wait for Cyberpunk2077.
@@gtrrohit5078 I personally enjoy the combat. It’s not the best but, it gets the job done. This game is still an 11/10 for me because the combat isn’t bad enough to slash points.
It's true that Orianna may seem like a bruxa in the trailer but remember that she is the only female (possible) higher vampire so, since it has never been shown someone like her, there could be a possibility that female higher vampires look similar to bruxae or alps. Who knows? Another strange story that goes in the (already very long) list of higher vampire inconsistencies 😂
I always assumed this too. The same way that Detlaff and Regis can transform and become more monstrous, doesn't mean they're not still higher vampires. Why wouldn't a female vampire like Orianna look Bruxa-like when she transforms?
I realized something about the crones, when you completed the about the whispering Hillock quest the Crones will say something like "now you shall chase shadows and wander midst fog" and "each time you see her, she shall be a mirage" they are speaking the truth, you will wander midst fog on the isle of mists and if you do the hym quest for Cerys you will find a mirage of Ciri.
I think Orianna is definitely a Higher vampire, but that's she's maybe able to take on the form of a bruxa, like Regis can turn into a giant bat. Also, because she follows the exact method of humans as 'cattle', like is described in those letters you find at Tesham Mutna. Just not as extreme, by letting the children live and focus on the blood "quality". Which makes them a perminent source of 'food', and less likely to get human mobs trying to expose and drive her off.
Major spoilers below: My theory is, ever since I finished the dlc, I have started seeing the blood and wine menu in a new light. It's Geralt preparing for a fight with Orianna because she has, yes, killed Regis because Regis killed Detlaff. In witcher 2 (and maybe 1 as well , I haven't played it), Geralt had to meditate before fights to drink potions etc. They removed it in 3 for utility sake but *that is* the conventional way of a witcher preparing for a fight. So that's why he's sitting and meditating outside the shed. And orianna knows he's coming for her, hence she's pacing in the background awaiting the fight. It's almost like she low key respects him. She knows he fought Detlaff to point of death even if Regis dealt the final blow. He can defeat her too. And then ensues what we see in the DLC teaser. Maybe she killed Regis under the command of the unseen elder or by mistake while fighting with him; vampires are uncontrollable when they're angry. So the timeline goes like this: Geralt and Regis choose to kill Detlaff (DLC), Orianna kills Regis (post DLC), Geralt learns of it and prepares to fight her (DLC menu), and then he fights and kills her (DLC teaser). Another thing that leads me to believe that Orianna killed Regis is because in the teaser, this was pointed out by my sister, she picks up the doll that Regis carries with himself and now she has it, classic symbolism for someone's death/murder. Yes, there is definitely an inconsistency with the bruxa and higher vampire thing. Maybe they didn't plan on making her a higher vampire when the teaser was made or released and then they decided to do it since it fit the story arc more. It could also be that they hadn't modeled or designed higher vampires during battle at the time.
Yeah interesting theory but I think people around the areas have also found out that she’s a Higher Vampire (a Lessen one at least) because Geralt said in the trailer that people were paying him to kill her. However Orianna also said that in earlier time Witchers would never take contracts like killing her which I think she means Witchers never kill for vengeance and Geralt replied time change which means Witchers now have more emotions than before and can kill for revenge. Interesting theory!

This game was one of the best games I’ve ever played, me being of Polish roots it’s amazing to play through one of my most beloved book series. Happy Anniversary Witcher!!
hey, I hope u didn't already had that Detail, but in White Orchard there's a quest where u have to find a missing brother close to a battlefield, so if u go directly to the missing brother u get some sort of another dialog. then he sent's u to his brother and his dog, if u then speak's to his brother ,the quest is finished and u doesn't have to follow him. Later u can then find the body from the dead nilgaardian soldier

Orianna can be both a bruxa and a higher vampire if the term "higher vampire" is a tautonym when applied to the name of the genus and species, which is not uncommon in real life for animals that are (or were previously thought to be) the only species in their genus. So in this context, that would mean that the genus higher vampire includes the species bruxae(Orianna), alps, katakans(Hubert) and the "true" higher vampires like Regis, Detlaff and the Elder. As for why she doesn't go along with Detlaff's command to raze the city, I have three possible theories: -She's under the authority of the Unseen Elder and thus under no obligations to follow a different higher vampire's orders. -Detlaff's "influence" isn't direct mind control and the vampires attacking Beauclair are doing so of their own free will because they agree with him and/or peer pressure from fellow vampires who do. -She may just be too old and powerful for him to boss even with the difference in species/rank. Alternatively: Bruxae and Katakans call themselves higher vampires to make themselves seem impressive, even though they're biologically not. What are humans going to do about it, run to a real higher vampire and tattle on them for trademark infringement?
Actually, I believe classifying "Higher Vampire' as a category instead of just a separate race was a game mistake. In the books, It seems Regis makes a distinction Between HV and other vampires such as Bruxa and Alps, etc.
I been changing it up with my game play. I go to novigrad first or skelligde. I am not velen because you get the mysterious passager quest. Plus you can get kinda information about Gaunter O Dimm as the merchant. Different dialogue with baron and his daughter if you see her first before velen about menga and witch hunters. Great video as always.
I always though that it was a bit weird that she was supposed to be just a Bruxa. For one Geralt seems to have way too many problems with her in the trailer while in the game they don't pose much of a threat. Even more perculiar is Orianna saying that in times past no witcher dared to hunt her, which is weird since Bruxae are tough, but not as tough as to deterr a witcher
Absolutely outstanding! I agree, this game has aged fantastic and you Letails definitely have a hand in keeping it fresh. The video content keeps getting better, no pressure lol. I super enjoy your content like everyone here I'm sure and just want to say thank you for all you do. You are appreciated my friend 🙏🏾
It’s actually a card from the Gwent Standalone! It’s called Crimson Curse. If you google “Crimson Curse Gwent wallpaper” you’ll probably find a cleaner and better looking image!
My theory on Orianna being a Bruxa is that, well we know that each Higher Vampire has a unique ability/talent that only he or she has. While playing the game and seeing how she was portrayed and making the parallel with the trailer I just assumed that Orianna’s ability is to transform to a Bruxa.
Well she done a pretty stupid mistake then since Higher Vamps are much more stronger and cannot die by natural means other than being killed by their own
Literally been watching your channel since I’ve gotten the game, always increasing my playtime on Witcher 3 you’re at like 1000 hours and I‘m at like 850. Thank you for these videos always makes the experience better. That praying cult thing blew my mind
If anyone is looking for orianna's song, it's called "lullaby of woe" .....although I'm not really sure who the original maker and singer of the song is.... It's either Marcin Przybylowicz or Ashley serena (i personally prefer the Ashley serena version)
The level of detail is really something else. The same reaction to both the first time she sings and much much later in the trailer, my god. Bloody amazing!
So many things i learned through witcher 3.. and i know i am not the only one :) When i was 19 i learned so much. When i was 23 (now) i learned even more. And if I didn't look at or discover anything about secrets or anything like that in Witcher 3, you were always there, thank you, Letalis
Orianna is my absolute favourite character. I love everything about her, from the way she holds herself to just her facial features. She has this fantastic aura of mystery around her, yet her character is so natural, so easy to understand.
I missed a couple of them. Didn't do the Unseen Elder on the first playthru so that is always new. I like the last one with the boy under the wagon, don't recall that at all and it is a nice touch. Well done!
there's one of those vampire marks near the place where we find the grandmaster griffin gear(I don't remember which piece), you are attacked by a garkain and a fleder if you go there
Happy anniversary to one of my favorite games of all time. I still remember my first playthrough when I saw Orianna for the first time. I kept thinking to myself "she looks so familiar...who is she?" The feeling I had when I realized later was fantastic....
I just found out your channel after i started to play witcher 3 for a second time . You are amazing ! You do so much research and effort on the videos . Huge respect !
Wow, 5 years. Getting the feeling Witcher 3 will stand the test of time, whether it is 10 years or 20 years (or more). Just an amazing game that's great to get back into every now and then. It seems there's still a lot of secrets that I didn't know about. Ones which surprised me most were Geralt's "Nice tune" response after Orianna finishes her song, and Geralt saving and talking with the boy after killing the garkain. Probably because both of them I was basically rushing towards the next objective. Regarding the vampire cult, kinda surprised that there isn't someone like those fanatic priests we saw preaching in Novigrad.
They're not making it their own, not yet at least, Season 1 is basically a retelling of the first 2 books, there are minor changes but it's the same story with the same main characters and the same main events happening.
I have played blood and wine so many times and I always take my sweet time trying not to miss anything and yet i neverrr knew about the boy under the wagon or geralt’s awesome dialogue with him. that is super cool
I also noticed a detail about Gretka in the base game. When you first find her while playing as Ciri and ask her what she is doing in the woods, she will tell you her parents sent her out to find and follow a trail of treats. Later in the game you find out the trail of treats leads to the crones and that parents with misbehaving childeren send their kids out on the trail meaning Gretka was supposed to find the crones, but didnt. P.S: The whole story actually relies on Gretka, since she leads Ciri to The Wolf King where she saves the guy that leads her to the Baron.
Even though I've known most of those details watching TW3 scenes makes me want to play it again. What will this be my.... **10**th odd time lol. I've literally lost count. Either way xLetalis great work as ever mate.
Thank you very much for this video. I have always found the Witcher trailer very haunting and wondered more about the woman. Now I know a lot more about her. Thank you.
Hey, there is a reference to Pablo Picasso painting in the main game, when you go to speak with Avallac'h to the general of eredin, the painting looks like a picasso. The quest is Through Time and Space
My own headcanon for both Orianna and the Hubert was that they sort of evolved with age, although considering the link between the Unseen and Orianna this kind of falls off. I liked to think that since both seem to enjoy mingling with humans they had to develop something that would help them stay hidden in plain sight so to speak and this was a unique trait to them that made them "evolve" from other lesser vampires.
I totally agree The Witcher is a Marterpiece in videogame , when i got my ps4 i just played fifa and gta , But a mate of mine gave me The Witcher 3 and change my life completely .. i just love it .
This may be the Mandela effect, but the first time I watched the anniversary trailer, I swear it had the Red Baron standing with his wife! Now she's gone! Spooky! Where the local people almost worship vampires, is a pleasant surprise! I'm loading up the game to find this right now! & I still applaud CDPR for using the DLC as their launch trailer, Kudos to them.
I know its common knowledge, but many people dont know that you can actually go for Orianna, pick the key to the Unseen Elder lair, and still go save Syanna in the fairy tail land after that. So, in the end of the campain, after saving Syanna, you can still go to the Unseen elder lair and visit some areas, grabbing some of the Han Geith set pieces, but not all of it, cause if you got too close of the Elder, he will kill Geralt on sight.
Imagine having such a character in the game to not being able to fight her but were teased by geralt keeping his word to Orianna then seeing it in the trailer. That my friend is poetry and also the answer about what she was.
I thought the "yeah I figured it out" scene was actually pretty funny. I realized Orianna was already a vampire when she said that her and Detlaff had been friends for ages. And I had anticipated that to be some sort of large story reveal and was rolling my eyes because they made it too obvious, then, lo and behold, they just casually mention it and move on, and make me feel like an idiot for thinking that I was being clever. Also, I feel like it's pretty well established that Bruxae cannot hide their physicality very well. That's why, whenever you see them in public, they're in large cloaks and hiding their hands. It seems more likely to me that Bruxae basically just look and act like Higher vampires, but they cannot blend in well with humans. Like, I bet a male Bruxa would look a lot like Regis or Detlaff. It's just that Higher Vampires can have more evolved forms than the one that looks like Bruxae.
Incredible that you keep making these vids man 5 years after the game was released. That you are still able to keep the ‘things you’ve mist’ list growing shows what an incredible game this is and a big shoutout to you that keep entertaining us with these video’s.
Luckily all the vampires in Witcher franchise are tolerants and reserved, if they want, they're able wipe out every kingdom and empire, only with a thousand of vampires of any kind. And more luckily the unseen elder didn't have any interest to do that.... especially in field.
It was kinda suprisin when i saw her in the actual game apart from trailer ... and she looked familiar at first but when she started singing lullaby , then whoaaaa it got me chills.... it's my top favorite sequence in the whole game
My theory is this: Maybe Orianna is indeed a Bruxa, but is packing with the Unseen Elder, that is why she knew exactly whe the Unseen Elder is. Moreover, a Bruxa under the Elder's command could be much stronger (or could be more respectable) that why she didn't give a sh*t about the two higher vampires or everything around her (the city on fire part) she only answer to the Elder.
Orianna is definitely a higher vampire. I think higher vampires each have a form of a lesser vampire they can transform to during a fight or whatever, so Orianna would have the form of a bruxa.
I've been playing The Witcher since the first released and still to this day playing it and still enjoying it I'm very grateful for such a good game have a blessed day brother thank you
I saw the woman in the barn in the title screen a few times, but I never made the connection to Orianna, and this actually being the barn from the trailer... So thank you for all your videos and for still revealing new details to us after five years!
You never cease to take my breath away with the opening of your kamakaze videos ! IIIIIII love them !! Just think, when they were all at the party sitting at the table, the vampires were aware of each other, ( Detlaff and Orianna) which obviously we did'nt till later in the game. And yes, I missed the talk with the little boy under the wagon, dang, and on my 10th playthrough. Gonna get it this time, still on Hearts of Stone at the moment.
great video, I think it would be a cool idea to make a video on all the things that can be easily missed in the land of a thousand fables and there are so many cool easter eggs and references
I still think that higher vampires are less a race and more of an elite. Maybe, some Bruxa do have the potential to become higher vampires, if they get old enough...
When you finish with blood and wine things we missed I think you should try to find more secrets in velen and in novigard cause am sure they are more things that we might have missed and amazing video btw
It's possible Orianna is a Bruxa, she's just not part of Dettlaff's "pack" so to speak. She has no ties to him, she holds no loyalty to him, and she's not compelled to answer his call. Just because you're a Higher Vampire, it doesn't mean you hold absolute dominion over the lesser types. Otherwise, Regis wouldn't have needed to put down the Bruxae that attacked him in the epilogue; he could have just uttered a word, and they'd be gone just like that. And besides, if Orianna is aligned with anyone, it would be the Unseen Elder.
I've found some small details on the brothel in Toussaint. First, there's the painting of naked Geralt in there! Haha (I think it only shows up if you complete the quest "A Portrait of the Witcher as an Old Man", of course.) And second, I liked how you can see the difference of how sexuality is seen between Toussaint and Novigrad. While in the Passiflora brothel the men prostitute treats Geralt in a very rude way and curses you, but in The Belles of Beauclair the men prostitute treats Geralt very well, and they actually flirt with you.

@@christianbolze7092 Yeah hard to believe anyone but a higher vampire would have access to the unseen elder's location.
It's not out of the realm of possibility that Geralt "killed" Oriana as a temporary punishment for exploiting the children.
that is true
Does that mean, if she is a higher vampire, she is not really dead after the trailer fight? Even though she burned up in the sun?
@@tilltronje1623 Books and B&W spoiler alert:
Vilgefortz "kills" Regis at the end of Lady of The Lake, practically melting him down.
"You know how Orianna starts singing to the scared boy, that same song which she sings during the witcher 3 launch trailer?"
Yeah as if I would ever be able to forget that.
Old speciment maybe have some trick or way of life that makes them the foe that cannot be underestimate.
you are a true fan of the series. salute you.
@@kojoydesu4107 Ah, the ancient leshen is a great point. That is exactly how I imagine Orianna.

It's true that Orianna may seem like a bruxa in the trailer but remember that she is the only female (possible) higher vampire so, since it has never been shown someone like her, there could be a possibility that female higher vampires look similar to bruxae or alps. Who knows? Another strange story that goes in the (already very long) list of higher vampire inconsistencies 😂
possible I guess ;]
what about the fact that she dies in the trailer by Geralts hand? Only a Higher Vampire can kill another Higher Vampire
@@lucasmroczynski5543 Because Orianna in the trailer is not the same Orianna in the game. The trailer is just for marketing purposes.
@@xD3MONxIxSOULx omg sure im fine with that, it would be nice though if CDPR would confirm that once and for all
I always assumed this too. The same way that Detlaff and Regis can transform and become more monstrous, doesn't mean they're not still higher vampires. Why wouldn't a female vampire like Orianna look Bruxa-like when she transforms?

yeah it's true
I think Orianna is definitely a Higher vampire, but that's she's maybe able to take on the form of a bruxa, like Regis can turn into a giant bat. Also, because she follows the exact method of humans as 'cattle', like is described in those letters you find at Tesham Mutna. Just not as extreme, by letting the children live and focus on the blood "quality". Which makes them a perminent source of 'food', and less likely to get human mobs trying to expose and drive her off.

Just found your channel after my first ever playthrough and I am LOVING your awesome content. Keep up the good work!
I'll try, thank you :)
I knew the song was the same in the trailer, but the “nice tune” was a “nice touch”
Major spoilers below:
My theory is, ever since I finished the dlc, I have started seeing the blood and wine menu in a new light.
So the timeline goes like this:
Geralt and Regis choose to kill Detlaff (DLC), Orianna kills Regis (post DLC), Geralt learns of it and prepares to fight her (DLC menu), and then he fights and kills her (DLC teaser).
Best explanation I've read regarding the higher vampire bruxa hickup with orianna. Everyone else's explanations are too one sided.
@@horsemen6769 thank you so much!
Nooo İ don't want Regis to die!
Interesting theory!
this needs more thumps up

Orianna can be both a bruxa and a higher vampire if the term "higher vampire" is a tautonym when applied to the name of the genus and species, which is not uncommon in real life for animals that are (or were previously thought to be) the only species in their genus. So in this context, that would mean that the genus higher vampire includes the species bruxae(Orianna), alps, katakans(Hubert) and the "true" higher vampires like Regis, Detlaff and the Elder.
As for why she doesn't go along with Detlaff's command to raze the city, I have three possible theories:
-She's under the authority of the Unseen Elder and thus under no obligations to follow a different higher vampire's orders.

Dude the little boy detail was actually amazing!
They're not making it their own, not yet at least, Season 1 is basically a retelling of the first 2 books, there are minor changes but it's the same story with the same main characters and the same main events happening.
That boy-under-the-wagon dialogue is brought on the stage after 5 years? Is CDPR working with aliens to make games?

I also noticed a detail about Gretka in the base game.
When you first find her while playing as Ciri and ask her what she is doing in the woods, she will tell you her parents sent her out to find and follow a trail of treats.
Later in the game you find out the trail of treats leads to the crones and that parents with misbehaving childeren send their kids out on the trail meaning Gretka was supposed to find the crones, but didnt.
P.S: The whole story actually relies on Gretka, since she leads Ciri to The Wolf King where she saves the guy that leads her to the Baron.

Congratulations to Witcher 3 and to you for keeping up and doing such a great job informing us of all these missed details

Indeed.

Wow! I missed SO MUCH! Thanks! :)
Happy 5th Anniversary! 🍷
Orianna is definitely a higher vampire. I think higher vampires each have a form of a lesser vampire they can transform to during a fight or whatever, so Orianna would have the form of a bruxa.

10th playthrough, nice! Also apologies for the breath taking :D
- After all this time?
- Always.
...what?
Isn't this from Harry Potter???
@@你爸爸-k7b Yes, but it's fitting... after all this time, xLetalis still makes Witcher videos and we still enjoy them :)
Vandor2 That's true. I just found out the vampire cult from the last video after all these playthroughs. This game and xLetalis are amazing😂
I watched all your „Things you missed“ Videos today aaaaand now I‘m playing the game again :D Quarantine is doing things....
:D Thanks for watching and good luck!
This expansion can be sold standalone and still be GOTY and beat many AAA games !
great video, I think it would be a cool idea to make a video on all the things that can be easily missed in the land of a thousand fables and there are so many cool easter eggs and references
I still think that higher vampires are less a race and more of an elite. Maybe, some Bruxa do have the potential to become higher vampires, if they get old enough...
Maybe similar to that serial killer dude
Are higher vampire born the same or should they get old to get strong 🤔
When you finish with blood and wine things we missed I think you should try to find more secrets in velen and in novigard cause am sure they are more things that we might have missed and amazing video btw
Any chance you will do "things you may have missed in the Witcher 2" one day?
perhaps ;]
5 details for the 5th anniversary. nice touch!
That's true, Dettlaff had the rare ability to "dominate" over lesser vampires it seems
Yet another gem from your channel! Thank you
Got any ideas for your next video?
Hey, it's more details about B&W :)
I've found some small details on the brothel in Toussaint.
First, there's the painting of naked Geralt in there! Haha (I think it only shows up if you complete the quest "A Portrait of the Witcher as an Old Man", of course.)
And second, I liked how you can see the difference of how sexuality is seen between Toussaint and Novigrad. While in the Passiflora brothel the men prostitute treats Geralt in a very rude way and curses you, but in The Belles of Beauclair the men prostitute treats Geralt very well, and they actually flirt with you.
I'll have a look :)
Duda there's a naked painting of me if you wanna see it 😏
5th anniversary and another detail video by xLetalis. Best day in the Lockdown period.
“Man this game has too many details” -Nobody ever
0:36 dude those Bats waited generations for this moment, do you think they were hype as fuck and prepared. Or was it like the office when the fire alarm went off. “EVERYONE STAY FUCKING CALM”
