My name is Khaled Qurashi, I’m from Saudi Arabia, I’m currently doing my BBA1 semester in Glion.
My first impression about Glion, at first I was very overwhelmed by a new city, a new country, I wasn't used to it but everyone helped me when I arrived, the students, the staff, the teachers, everyone helped me, it made my experience so much better.
Back in my country, studying was all theoretical, there wasn't any practical so I couldn't actually have the full experience while studying, but now in Glion everything I study, I implement.
During these three and a half years I expect that I will learn how to manage a lot of people and how to also accommodate people in hotels, events and restaurants. Glion is preparing me to be a good manager in many aspects, one of the main aspects is that they're actually showing me every step of the process, from housekeeping to restaurant, bars, reception, everything, so I can learn how to manage everything.
Glion studies and hospitality in general is really wanted in the Vision 2030 for Saudi Arabia. I'm really excited to go there and work, and I have a lot of fields that I can choose just from my Glion degree.
When I graduate I would like to start with my own hotel and then hopefully it will become a hotel chain. I really aspire to own my own hotel chain.
