Speed camera reporting is well worth the price alone. Most people only coast over the limit by a few klms but now in Australia there is no tolerance. It used to be 10 klms! Will be interesting to see if the GPS speed matches the car speedo. Nice unit..
BE AWARE....I have had my TomTom Truck 6000 life for exact a year, they claim is free life traffic, free maps etc... just few days after the 1 year warranty run out the unit packed it and refused to turn on, turns on for few seconds and then the battery logo comes in and dies straight away. I replaced the battery today and I am having the same problem. STRANGE few days after my warranty expires these will sort your unit out when you do the next update.. just like Apple and then you have to buy another £450 unit for another year. First you have NO support for your customers and terribly expensive units and the you kill the units on the next update so we can throw it away...huh..???!!!
I am used to the old style TomTom interface. With the Go 600, the philosophy has changed (it took me a bit to get the gist of this). Previously, you selected the function (say, "Change destination"), then select the point. For the most part, now you select a point, then say what you want to do. I'm getting the hang of it, but given that this is my fifth TomTom, I'm well used to the old interface.

Report best buy , also received an email offering a 30% discount as the model is due for replacement soon, I have just bought a new car, Ford Puma that uses a USB-C port, will the new models be compatible, I can’t find info on your site, many thanks, we still love our tom tom!
I have a VIA 135 which I have had for nearly 9-10 years. Connecting to the Website at the beginning was a horror but things have improved a lot and since, I've not had any problems with the website or Navi (touch wood ). It still receives regular updates and I can't complain about that or anything and I hope it stays that way. When I'm not using it in the car, I keep it on the desk connected to my laptop and its on all the time until I turn off the Laptop. It comes on when I switch my Laptop back on and the Website runs in the background and tells me if there are any updates, mostly small updates at least twice a week. This also keeps the batterie charged, especially when its very cold outside and the Navi can be set before leaving the house so all you have to do is plug it in when you get in the car.
hey man. great channel but i would not go near a tomtom and suggests everyone stays away from them! to this day even i feel conned out. so... i purchased a tomtom highspec at the time around 300 pounds with lifetime updates, traffic and maps. 3 years later nothing wrong with the device at all. THEY STOPPED UPDATES FOR ALL OLD MODELS??. they just brought a new one out lol. honestly get one with life time updates and as even thgis reviewer says life time until the product is out dated (around 5 years). work it out if your model came out 2 years ago and you purchased it for a few hundred... its gonna be outed very fast leaving you with a perfectly working device but when the roads change you device wont tell you. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH AND WASTE OF MONEY. (NICE VIDEO THO)
Can someone please let me know what new Tomtom gps has the intersection function? Tomtom got rid of it and added the coordinates instead. I'm a truck driver and a licensed pilot and neither I or anyone else I know ever uses the coordinates. What moron at Tomtom came up with this bright idea? Any help would be appreciated as I can't find one except the 20 year old ones.

Hi there, it depends on your device. Which one do you have? Our GO 5100/6100 devices have their own sim card through which you can access the services. The GO 510/610 access the services through your phone, for which they need a data connection. As for lane view, what exactly do you mean by that?
My Tomtom 6100 GO is amazing - it has exceeded my expectations. It's taken me on new faster routes that I didn't even know about to avoid the peak hour traffic.

I ever owned...( recaro seats, power steering and air con) ..... now I have to make do with an E30 .... can't afford an E21 now :-( ...... look after her, there is no better driving experience ...
