*BY ORDER OF THE PEAKY BLINDERS YOU MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO* This is also a great moment for me to mention: I have NEVER seen a single episode of Peaky Blinders. Or Oppenheimer. Or Cillian Murphy in real life. What FAMOUS ACTOR should I bring into CK3 next? DWAYNE THE ROCK JOHNSSON conquering Iberia? Saul Goodman becoming the lawyer of Haesteinn? Comment down below!
Deeply frustrated and saddened that Crusader Kings 3 has not yet added a Romani culture (or Irish Traveller culture) so we could enjoy the real Thomas Shelby experience. Having him just be "Irish" kind of defeats the point. Not your fault, of course.
Fun fact! Dublin was founded by the Norse and was originally called "Dubh Linn" which means "Black Pool" ... So the capital of Ireland has the same name as an English sea-side town!
No, Dublin and Blackpool are not the same name. You can tell by the fact they're different words. And it wasn't founded by the Norse, there was already a settlement there, Baile Áth Chliath
Damn, I forgot you can't make statements on the internet without all this BS... Yeah different words with basically the same meaning, like a synonym if you like. DL was founded around 9th century, BAC was a separate settlement closer to the Liffey (not sure when it was founded off the top of my head, but read on). They were different places - the norse founded DL - the Irish founded BAC. Both of these settlements have been encorporated into modern Dublin (English, derived from DL) aka. BAC (Irish, unchanged). This causes this weird paradox where depending on which language you speak depends on who founded the city. If you speak Irish you'd say "The Irish founded BAC" Whereas in English you'd say "The Norse founded DL" (which would both be true and both refer to modern Dublin). I believe when the norse returned to DL in 10th century DL began developing into modern dublin (basically goblbing up BAC). So, there's good argument to say Dublin was founded by the Norse, but if you're refering specifically to BAC (as I suppose you would in Irish) then sure, that was founded by the Irish (but I'm not convinced that translates to modern Dublin).
Leaving England as your primary kingdom title up until you formed Brittania? That’s… great. That’s fine. In fact, it’s so great that I’m going to give you a free car! Come start it up! 🇮🇪
As an irish person i actually dont know why "tuath dé dannan" is the nickname the decision gives. That's the irish name for the prechristian gods that ruled the land, but its kind of obscure even in ireland 😅. A better reference would probably be "Ború" after Brian Ború, but I don't actually know what Ború means.
Wasn't the fir bolg the Norse? Took over from tuatha de danon then the christians came and defeated them. I might be wrong, Iberia is also a possibility for the fir bolg.
@@marciwyrd8905 It's the Tuatha Dé who took from the Fir Bolg, then Bres called the Fomorians to try avoid being deposte, failed, and there was peace until the Millesians _(Míl Espáine, Miles Hispaniae, soldier from Iberia)_ came.
How does Ború make more sense lol? "Hey lets nickname this dude after the last name of someone who died 20 years before game start". I think a child of light reference would have made more sense because you're literally the hero of Ireland at that point.
@@adrenalinevan I'm more than willing to be wrong here but I think that's why they wrote "Tuath" instead of "Tuatha". To signify to the player "Person/Child of Danu"(Tuath) instead of "People of Danu"(Tuatha).
@@foisopracurtir6389 I thought the dagda sided with the northern gods against the rest of the celts. But I digress I don't know much about Irish folk lore, my family came to America during the potato famine.

I like how you complained about getting random foreign artifacts as the king of England, saying to give it back while you displayed it on your throne room. Plausible deniability is fun.
Hey koifish, i'm not sure wether jesus received help but i do know he helped a lot of people. I just wanted to let you know he exists and that there's eternal life after death if you believe in him. Which means all you have to do for eternal life is, believe in him, repent from your sins and run away from sins. Also if you fall back into sin, don't worry, jesus will pick you back up. He never gives up on us as long as we're alive. i would love to see you in heaven someday, you're a nice guy. May god bless you, Amen.

We saw Anglos as kings of Ireland. Now, the Irish are the kings of England! What a blessed timeline.
What a cursed timeline.. a descendant of King Harald Fairhair rules England.. but a descendant of Björn Ironside rules over norway..
Drive around the world as vikinger Ryan Gosling
Completely unfair, the luck of the Irish is a overpowered Congenital trait.. Unless your actually Irish.. 😂
