As mentioned in the repair video and quite important for Proxon; are you the first owner? And second; why did the softer nut wear your spindle out so much compared to the harder bronze? If Proxon made the nut the guy or girl in the storage area probably thought that all yellow material is bronze... Probably on a Monday. No excuse, but shit also happens everywhere ;-P Best! Job
hydrochloric test was real clear! wierd that Proxxon would use brass instead of bronze...

I suspect that a very rough cut threading played a role in this. Also see my reply to you other comment.
