It went from a scary logo that has very unsettling music to an extremely impressive and well-animated promo with very good and cheerful music to a peaceful logo with beautiful scenery and nice music to a simulation of Japan in the 22nd century
Trivia : Fuji TV is well known as the big home of animes like Dragon Ball, Kochikame, Digimon, Arale, One Piece, WMT animes and Shonen Jump animes as well as shows like Iron Chef, F1 Grand Prix, VS Arashi, etc. They also have 2 publishing divisions that used to publish games, which are FCI and Pony Canyon, both published Lunar Ball and Ultima series for Nintendo systems. The station launched in 1959 (1 month after TV Asahi), the initial name before they launched was Chuo Television or Central Television, hence the callsign "CX".
And animes like Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Hokuto no ken, Hunter x Hunter (1999 version), Toriko, Chibi Maruko-chan, Sazae-san (since 1969) and more.
How someone would get scared of "Ai no Messaji" That 1979 Ai I Eye closing theme was epic as hell love it I wished they released a high quality version.
In 1986-2001 I noticed the cars aren't driving on the correct side of the road for Japan... Maybe they were anticipating a future where Japan switched to the other side (as Sweden did in 1967)? Also that was a very nice sendoff they put together for moving out of their original studio building in 1997, I wonder if they did something similar for when they shut off analog broadcasting.
For 1986 IDs, it was an unimportant notice, so both they and watchers didn't seem to care, I think. For analogue shutdown, they didn't make a farewell clip, it was just a 2003 closedown with a notice of the shutdown.
@@dorothytheuyfanatic5118 By using these conditions, I rate it nightmare : - Being a 70s kid + Having a 70s TV (which has low resolution compare to present TVs) + Your surrounding environment is nothing but silence. - The 8 number follows you with unsettling sound (2:14). - After the ID ends, static or a "target" test card comes next.
I always wondered what the text on top of the 1986 logo (not the 1986-2001 one) actually says, as I don't speak Japanese, then the Wikipedia article about the channel mentionned that the channel is also well known for its long-time slogan “If it's not fun, it's not TV!” (Tanoshi-na kereba terebi ja nai!/楽しくなければテレビじゃない!), meaning that they simply used their slogan. :0 Also this version of Rêveries (not “Riveries”) is not the orignal from Claude Debussy, they used the Isao Tomita version from the album Snowflakes are Dancing (an album full of synthesized renditions of Claude Debussy's pieces). which is easily his most well known album. The album was so good that a lot of TV channels in Japan and even outside of Japan used some songs from said album in the 70s and the early 80s. By the way, the 1986-2001 ident is easily my favorite, I love the music that combines orchestrated sounds with synths and even a Simmons SDS-V, which is probably the only Japanese song to use it as far as I know. x)
I am trying to find the version of Tomita's Reverie that contains the exact key and style of play as in the start-up of 1976-1978, but the ones that are uploaded to UA-cam are in a different key as far as I can find them. Or else, they're not it. Or was that version specifically recorded for Fuji TV?

I like how Fuji TV’s startup animation turned from a fantasy short film to a simulation of what Japan in the future might look like in 2001

Some of these scare factors don’t make any sense. This is why the scare factors have been removed on the CLG Wiki in November 2018.
That's why I have to correct them under the description. And Scare Factor Level becomes Scare Rate.
The 1969 closing variant scare factor is WAY too high.
