- The plaintiff says the defendant is her sister, who she claims stole furniture after their mother died from lung cancer. The plaintiff says she moved her own furniture into their mom’s house during the last few months of her life, but then the defendant took her couch. She’s suing for the value of personal property. When crack was dropped into our neighbors in the 80's by the government, it completely destroyed 2-3 generations (and counting). All of that anger from the daughter is hurt, so sad.

How can she have the nerves to call someone a drug addict when she was the same way for 30 years. Shame on her. Even as the poor lady was dying of cancer, they were more focused on some damn furniture when probably the only thing the lady wanted was to see all of her daughters come together. Can you imagine her last days dealing with the cancer and all of that craziness? She’s for sure in a better place now. Rest In Peace

Ms. G was my high school English teacher. Such a beautiful woman. Never seen this side of her. Never would’ve guessed. She’s one of those teachers that actually care and pushes students. Hope all is well!

It often goes beyond family. Look at the dynamics of the community and this nation. The whole purpose of introducing drugs into specific communities was to break down the family structure and other solid foundations. No conspiracy. just provable fact. Unfortunately for some, it backfired and now the epidemic is in every community.

It can happen. Happened on my fathers side of the family. People want to forget how hard these drugs hit in the 80's and how addiction works in general. It's wonderful when people can try a hard drug and not get addicted, however, that is not the case most of the time. One sibling tries it and then introduces it to the next and then it's the downfall of a family, no matter how kind and loving the mother was. I am thankful that my grandmother lived to see some of them get sober.

Kids are sponges, if kids see domestic violence growing up. 80% of them will grow up to be involved in domestic violence themselves. Their lives would’ve been a lot easier with a clean positive mother.

This is just such a sad case to watch. Once upon a time, we were Kings and Queens, black people were family oriented, we treated each other with so much love and respect. Today we have lost our way because of drugs, alcohol, lack of education, and no love and compassion for our families. In my opinion if we to refocus on our culture, teach our children where they came from, give them our history, instill respect, love and compassion back into our homes. We would be better off in the black communities if we make an effort with these things.
