Started my apprenticeship in 1979, 61 now still love it when it’s not raining. Good advice to the apprentice Drew he’s very lucky, I just got bullied but got through it.
It's inspirational to see men take so much pride and joy in their craft. Respect from your neighbours in Ireland lads.
Izzy, both you and Drew, blasted it this week, especially in that heat! You're a good mentor, and Drew's coming along great! Another good week's work, highlighting many brickie skills! Nice one guys!
Cheers Alan! We got quite a bit done, I forgot until I edited this video what we achieved! Thanks for the support on the videos mate! Got a new one for you tomorrow
@IzzytheBricky Cheers Izzy. Enjoy Italy! 👍
Hitting it out the park again bud. Great to see Drew getting stuck in and going for the qualifications 👍🏻😎
Cheers mate appreciate it! And yes hopefully he can get the funding for it..or the funds together 😂😂💪💪 hope your well! New video tomorrow
We are tappers and proud 😂😂, we get some serious shit for it but that’s how I was taught 😌seriously though it helps the brick down and it’s less stress on the arm and wrist especially on brick like those sponges you’re on there . Also Rob Songer is a tapper so we are in good company 😍🤩😂.
After our chat Izzy poor Drew deserves that Kip in the van, he is a grafter and rare breed indeed 🤩💪🏽🧱👍🏼
Brick tapper or Bricklayer lol
Haha he can definitely graft mate! And yea I noticed the tapping, I do it most of the time myself, unless I'm bombing to get home..I'll tap all day 😂
Every apprentice should have a mentor like you, excellent training and work, Drew is a lucky guy (and a p'fect apprentice)
P'fect video Izzy

Be sun smart please fellas. No matter how hot it may be. We say in Australia, Slip Slop Slap.
Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat.
You don’t want to die from melanoma or any form of skin cancer.
Keep up the great work together, but be safe in the (little) sun you get. 😂😂
Very very true mate! Factor 50 on all day! Not used to the sun over here 😂😂 hope your well! New video tomorrow

Good work that Izzy ,top draw mate 😀💪
Just one thing ,will the air bricks in the openings clash with the finished floor ?
The concrete should butt up to it on the ffl and the door cill will it on it nicely, don't think it will cause an issue 🙂 New video out tomorrow

Thanks brother
I remember falling asleep in the truck on the way home 👍🧱🤣🤣🤣

@@anthonyworthington6495 I'm good, how you doing?✌🧱🤣
@charlesviner1565 iam good thank you for asking👊
He's always asleep 😂😂😂
If you Eva go for knicknames sick note might be one
Which evo cutter is that? Been looking at upgrading
I'll have a look and let you know mate 💪
Do you not rub up the back of your work so it’s full? The back of that brickwork looks terribly empty
Drews buttering them block purps up better than you now iz. When the apprentice becomes the master perper over night😮
I know😂😂 "do what I say, not as I do" is what I tell him 😂
There SHOULD be a LARGE air space gap in-between the face of the insulation and the OUTER WALL inside the cavity ; this includes an air space gap in between the face of the insulation and the cavity-wall-tie drip points which are in the centre of the cavity.
Ask N.V.Q. BRICKWORK teachers for PROOF of this !
Get a smaller trowel to start with drew . Great work lads
Told him ☺️ cheers mate, new video out later on tomorrow mate
What size is that small trowel your using mate
7" mate☺️
What times do you stop for tea time and lunch time? Good vid mush!
Don't actually stop mate, start at 7, leave at 3..drew will stop..but I'm not bothered about having a break
@@IzzytheBricky bloody hell you must be knackered/starving🤣
@@DerpChar I work pretty well with 1 meal aday at about 9 😂😂☺️
@@IzzytheBricky nutter🤣
Izzy I would like to know what are the brand of shorts you wear? I’ll appreciate A lot
Hiya mate they are scruffs ☺️
I know that nobody cares but some big companies WILL call you out for 5mm BLOCK WORK off guage like in 5:21, its noticeable the last block is below level.
Next course tie will be leaning inwards and bringing water into the house, for a reason some companies grow and others dont.. 5mm is 5mm and makes a whole difference.
Izzy could you please tell me the website where you do your NVq level 2 please.
Message me on IG mate and I'll send you the link
Where are you based? Are you looking for any more apprentices?
are u still using the same trowel as charlie collison
Yea mate I swap from the 13" to the 7"
I would teach him to perp the brick in his hand first but good work, not easy being an apprentice
Cheers mate, with the bricks being so dry, the perp has gone off before he's laid it,.so for now with these bricks I taught him that way
Drew 10 inch trowel is all you'll ever need especially starting off
Definitely swap him to the smaller trowel! Cheers bro appreciate it very much, hope your well! New video out tomorrow
Why drag the trowel back after you cut the mud
If he’s not off every other week you might be able to…. 😌
Hahahaha love it
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is that a 300mm evolution saw
Yes mate
It's good you haven't followed your old bosses attitude to teaching someone but he's taught you well it seems .
Yea never liked the screaming all day personally 😂😂 new video out tomorrow mate
calling 78 degrees f hot is hilarious to me
expamet instead of ties on the bay cuts mate.
Cheers mate will try that next time
🕌🏨🏥🏨🏥🏥🏨🕌
overwhelming music
Hope your customer appreciates how much pissin around that was, I would have been cursing under my breath lol 😂
Why do you lay up that high
Why are all bricklayers tiktokers or UA-camrs nowadays?
Great way for myself to advertise and yet more work 🙂
Are you gays??
Really annoying to watch….
The way he lays his bed really aggs me
Haha cheers Matthew, hope your well buddy
Hi Izzy i'm a ex-bricky and from Derby , but i live in Perth Australia now , here in Ozz we use profiles where ever and when ever we can to reduce the amount of leveling and pluming . So watching you returning this corner why don't you set up a profile on the next panel and run the corner out to a line hence doing away with all that leveling ..Cheers Bob ..
Thanks so much Bob! Are you still on the trowel in Australia? I'm looking for a little working holiday this summer, and trying to reach out to a few people
