Fantastic job, such great flow and attack. What a beautiful bass too, a custom 8 string Rickenbacker,,,,,,,, you know you’ve got groove and mean business. Awesome sound ✊
OK, let me explain. Originally, the bass was an eight-string instrument, with a secondary string an octave higher on the side of the main string, on the same principle as a 12-string guitar. I bought this Rick in April 2000. At the time, I was obsessed with the 8 string sound. I was fine with it, but my bandmates wanted me to play a regular 4-string bass, and I gradually stopped playing it. One day I tried to play this bass as a 4-string and it sounded so good that I have been using it as a 4-string ever since. in 2019, I changed the bridge to a 4-string-only one, thinking that I would never go back to an 8-string again. Thanks for reading, and also for commenting!
@@KitchemonTokigaya "your bass don't play, he talk!" (Brasilian expression to " you're play a lot") Awesome bro, a lot players try to play this song but, a little bit play with your skill
This bass is officially called 4003S/8. It was originally an 8-string bass with the same principle as a 12-string guitar. However, I play it as a regular 4-string bass.

Nice. That flatwounds your using
Thanks, Did that sound like a flatwound to you? Actually, it's a brand new roundwound. It's Ernie Ball.
@@KitchemonTokigaya well it certainly does not sound like my rick 4001 with roundwounds.
Nicely played, man! Great song choice! Keep it going.🔥😎
Thank you for your warm comments. It is very encouraging.👍
Sounds almost like Stingray. Good playing 🤟
I love the play and tone of the great Bernard Edwards. Your point is not off the mark. Thanks for the comment!👍

Nice playing. What model and year is the Ric? I’ve got a 77 Mplglow 4001.
Thanks 😊This Rick is a model "4003S/8" manufactured in 2000. 4001 manufactured in 1977 must be a great instrument!
@@KitchemonTokigaya mine is fantastic and in great condition this is my third. Yours looks brilliant. I’ve never seen one before. Cheers.🇬🇧

How many tuning pegs does your bass have...? Or I'm just having illusion...
There are eight pegs. What you've seen is real😉

You missed the most crunchy slapping part in the middle of the song . But still a good cover .
Thank you for your valuable input. I have received 12 bad👎 ratings. That may be the cause there.
Ok
why does your ricky have 8 tuning pegs?
