Ha, I have a 911 and an x1/9 both great cars. I'd agree with Rich below, get a ctek charger and a quick connect which you leave permnently installed. I have one charger and a quick connect for each car.
Hello from Buffalo New York - my mini collection 1982 fiat x19 Rossa red cream interior and 2012 Porsche 997.2 black edition - when I drive the Porsche it gives off an uncomfortable stigma- but when I drive the fiat it just makes people smile - I look at the Porsche but I drive the fiat along the shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie weekly in the summer months - beautiful driving
Boxsters and Caymans are great to drive, but pretty expensive to maintain. No where near as good value as an X1/9. Get a CTEK battery maintainer, my X1/9 is constantly connected, so I can always start it when required.
Love the car love your vids but I don't get the mesh change on the rear engine lid - if your out driving and the heavrns opens eg downpour which is not uncommon in the UK I certainly wouldn't have wanted to get my whole regime compartment drenched in water - I once had my ex x19 drenched anyway in a storm and it completely cut out - I dred to think what might have happened in a mesh top engine compartment- curiosity and a word of warning regards from Paul in Brighton
It is to improve air circulation in the engine bay. Many owners do such things, mainly to stop fuel vaporisation. The Fiat fan is hopelesss. Rain blows over the top and I have a cover that fits inside for parking outside.

An uncomfortable stigma, well put. A car does say something about one's character.
